About to quit over Riven and Zed.

Top lane, I'm playing as Maokai, full tank runes and masteries, and Riven tears through me, even diving the turret and shredding me, as a tank, and escaping with 40% health still. Mid lane I'm fiddlesticks, and all Zed needs to do is ult me. I can't even target him. I can't hide under the turret, it does nothing. How are you supposed to beat Zed mid lane if he can just ult you and kill you when you're at full health, under the turret, and you can't even target him? How are you supposed to beat Riven in any lane if she can turret dive Maokai and shred him easily? The reason why I don't want to play is I shouldn't have to ask these questions at all, they shouldn't be so incredibly overpowered that I literally cannot even CS.

Maokai use to be a good counter to Riven, now he mostly hangs out near bushes.

Vs. an assassin, you need durability to last beyond their initial damage output. If you're also an assassin, then you just need to assassinate them first. As Fiddlesticks, you should've built tankier and waited for a team to show up, because an immobile mage vs mobile energy ninja has been a complaint for awhile now.

maokai has sustain and more reliable cc, riven does not. if she dives you, cc her and she'll take tower damage, of course she'll escape if you don't punish her

Maokai has only 2 CC-a knockback and a root that lasts 1 second, and the root automatically makes me teleport to her, which she then uses to beat the crap out of Maokai.
