If you get reported for trolling you should NOT get autofill removed

People report people for trolling all the time, and I'd wager only a small fraction of them are actual trolls (rather than people having bad games), so suddenly tons of people would be stuck without autofill protection. People are probably more likely to be salty and actually troll when they're autofilled to a role they don't want to play too, so it just spoils things for everyone and doesn't accomplish much good.

If one instead wanted to make it such that people who have had recent penalties (so not just getting reported, but actually were punished for something) were ineligible for autofill protection, then that might be worthwhile.

I 100% agree with this. That would be the surest way to make people actually tryhard when they get fill.

I have to disagree. People would quickly stop trolling and not trying if they knew they were stuck in fill otherwise.

the problem here:

if this would happen to me, i would definitely not go motivated into my next games. i would just play them to get over with it. and i think many players would react like that.

also this would result in even more autofilled supports and games that outcomes get determined even more by autofill than atm. i'm not a good support and i don't enjoy playing it, and usually i just drag down my team as support because i'm playing something like support then and not some easy OP shit like Janna Karma Lulu because i at least want to have some fun in that game (don't understand me wrong i'm still trying to win get sightstone and all but on support i still mostly just drag down my team).

you always have to consider that if trolls get punished like that, it will not only punish them, but also their future teammates because they will have a teammate on a role he is weak on.

Brand is pretty OP as a support. Same as any mage support.

As for not liking support, that's something I have never understood. It's arguably the funnest role in the game. All you have to do is harass the enemy team, protect your ADC, and vision control. No worries about CS at all.

Also, the more you play a role, the better you will get. This forces people to get good.

I don't understand what the problem with playing support is. Like I know we are all selfish and want to carry the team, but legit people need to be more open to supporting and not just lock in a mage and build full AP. Riot needs to force everyone to play some support (autofill is already a step in that direction).

Learn to help others. Supports can win the game by helping their ADC get fed.

Every time I do get auto filled support, I don't play the traditional Meta. There are just too many variables that I can't control if I don't, whether it's an ADC that can't CS properly, or when I have to help mid lane setup a gank. This has always been my choice: Annie .
