And yet I keep getting my ass handed to me in lane as him. Sure I get 1 or 2 lucky kills, but most 1v1 do not end in my favor.

I wonder what I'm doing wrong? Perhaps the lack of resistances in my builds is my answer for dying more. Perhaps I don't know how to effectively use the pistol (it does so little damage that when I think it should kill someone they escaped with little health left). Maybe it's my mastery (Fervor) or the fact that he needs to last hit minions to gain courage (I hate this) which is why I don't get Skaarl back as much.

So everyone that's getting their ass best by Kled, I have to ask: How's he doing it? What's he building and maxing?

You have those on the boards complaining about how Broken Kled is, and there are those who complain about how useless Kled is in Twitch chat.

I think Kled is decent, but not overpowered.

If anything, I think he's weak. He has a 43% winrate, is a pretty easy to pick up champion and not AS easy to fight as others for the opponent.

NO. He needs no buffs at all. He's still extremely new, and win rates don't account for anything. Taliyah had an abysmal overall winrate for months, yet experienced Taliyah mains had like a 58% winrate, which goes to show that even if the masses suck with a champ, it doesn't mean that a little experience doesn't go a long way. Kled is currently very polarized in how people view him, which means he's not weak, he's very volatile. Any kind of buffs would just push him over the limits and we'll be seeing another Kalista in all pro scenes and World's.

I think Kled is decent, not bad, not too strong. If I had to choose between weak and too strong, I'd say he's weak.

I've seen him build Black Cleaver, Sunfire Cape, Strerak's Gauge, Titanic Hydra, Spirit Visage, and Mercury Treads. His HP and AD gets pretty high, and he's difficult to kill, so he almost always gets Skaarl back if he dismounts.

I don't get why he should build titanic because it looks like his AA damage would drop once Skaarl leaves. I usually go for ravenous.

That is definitely possible. I haven't played in a week when I heard Kled was available and I usually prefer not to duel in top.

Tbh there is reason they call top an "island".Probably the hardest role to learn in LOL.

Top lane is so fucking easy, are you kidding me? All you do is farm and kick your opponent's ass. Top is ganked the least, and majority of the champs that go top don't have balance issues.

There is a simple reason for this discrepancy. You are playing as Kled, they are playing against Kled.

The only thing I've seen that's "OP" about Kled is when you see him running around at a sliver of health and jump his ass he nails you with two autos, gets his mount back, and suddenly his HP bar is 3/4ths of the way full and you're losing the duel.

It was annoying as hell when Kench got back most of his health bar out of nowhere, and it's still annoying when Kled does it.

Yeah, now Tahm Kench can get all of his health back even faster, because of the lower cooldown. Fucking community, ruining one of my mains. Everyone that plays him now is a %%%%.

This will sound really crazy, but rush item 3153 and rank W first.

You'll get such a massive power spike. That is the secret. You'll smash all of your W in like half a second and they'll be running away with a quarter hp left wondering "what the fuck just happened? "

Played a lot of kled and had pretty good games. I say, you have 3 options :

Full AD - build CDR like lucidity, Black cleaver and death's dance, compliment that with either crit, attack speed or more life steal (this build is good against squishy teams)
(my favorite) Off tank, the point here is to get as much health to stack titanic hydras damage, add death's dance, and lucidity boots, and you got W up every 4.8 seconds (dont forget black cleaver)
full on tank, here is when you compliment skaarl's extra health and spike it with resistances, so it will be harder to drop her. In this build, you're a walking team engage tank, with good sticking power and damage spikes when W is up.

If you ask me, 2nd path goes the best, i'd say core items are black cleaver, lucidity, and death's dance. The CDR is critical to have W up as much as possible, without it, you're a slow melee range bruiser. Life steal and death's dance passive helps you to keep skaarl alive as long as possible.
