KSing DPS mage help? Its actually pretty damn annoying

Ended up having to power farm Other lanes just to stay in the game even though i won mine. Just about every kill that i had worked for on my own was snagged so I actually started to fall behind until i started stealing both teams jungle and lanes (which in turn hurt our jungler). Anyways I dont want to sit there and have to time my abilities just to get a kill that I've set up alone. Is this just normal with playing this type of champion ?

DPS champions in general, especially ADCs, should be constantly farming anyway. It's pretty normal I'd say.
