Recently i picked up Taliyah and i have to say i am having alot of fun playing as her now that i took the time to learn. I take her Mid and on occasion support. I was wondering if i could get some tips and advice from any Taliyah mains out there.

Here is the run down.

Masteries: 12/18/0 running Thunderlords. Runes: AP quints. Magic Pen reds. Armor Yellows. MR blues. Skill order: Q,E,W,R Summoners: summoner 4 summoner 14 Mid lane build order: item 3027 item 3009 item 3116 item 3135 item 3089 item 3285 Support build order:item 3092 item 2045 item 3009 item 3116 item 3135 item 3089

I really like getting swifties on her because it makes kiting with Q easier. And once i get Rylais i can perma slow with even more safty.

Open to changes and advice.

As a diamond taliyah main here is my 2 cents. So in my opinion ignite is an extremely weak SS and i would never take it unless im playing an early game snowbally champ. Exhaust is wonderful on her so that she can survive the early game and still have a huge impact late game but if your not confident you could use it correctly you could always take barrier. The longer taliyah can live the more damage she can do and because of her low cool downs a few more seconds does way more than ignite could. I also dont ever take her support i do mid and top with her. Instead of swifties try for lucid because it combined with 10% scaling cooldown runes and hour glass can give you a perminate q which with rylze means a perminate slow. It also lets you use your SS more often and they are your main escape. If you want the high speed type of play you could always consider bringing ghost which is an extremly strong SS and makes you impossible to be caught. ALso taliyah roams a lot and her ult is a game changing ability I would level it up when i can because it drastically increases the range and allows you take make more insane cross map plays. I typically have two main builds based on the situation , a squishy one when im not to worried about survivability(morellos, sorc shoes, rylze, ludens(movespeed), death cap, void and a tanky one( rod, ludens, rylze, torment, hourglass, void) and my SS spells varry between exaust TP and barrier. Dont underestimate the rylze torment combo you can shred any tank with that since you can kite them for years and keep that burn constantly applied. Sorry for not putting in a lot of effort into this it is just off the top of my head.

Ghost and Exhaust huh? In your opinion which would be more effective?

summoner 3 summoner 4

or

summoner 3 summoner 6

it depends on the team your playing against, if your playing againts juggernauts that need to run at you then ghost, if your playing againts people that can jump on you flash.

Drop her until riot decides to rebuff some part of her kit. She was average when she came up, they actually made her GOOD, then gutted her all in a 3 month time frame. Never seen such a quick rise and fall of a champ.

well i agree she could use a few buffs. i dont think shes in that bad of a state.

She turned into absolute trash after 6.14, and not just in one sense of the word. They completely ruined her.

I'll be rhombus here:

I rush Morellomnicon because of the CDR, which allows you to kite better and chase with the deadly W/E combo in my opinion.

As to abilities and stuff, like, use your W before your E to telegraph it less, and surprise them more.

Use your Q's on the side of the lane without a ward, so the worked ground is over there and more move speed in case of a gank.

Morello is an item i used to get as well but i did not find her Cooldowns to be all that bad so i swapped it for Ludens. However thinking back. Its really only her Q that has low CD so you might be right to swap out Ludens for it.

Heck yeah. More plays, more fun. MORE RECALLS WITH THE DEER.

Good post. IM trying ghost with her instead of flash now. We all know flash is king... but sometimes it is not enought to escape from slows or shid like that. Just yesterday, ghost saved my ass from a pursuing Ahri. I would have been dead meat with flash

By no means a main, but I have some of the best Taliyah stats I've seen, and had a very high KDA (9:1) when she was first released, and have maintained a pretty high average. I'm not diamond, but I can still make her work.

Anyway, I rush a ROA, build a Lichbane (I'll explain why in a second), Rylai's and Liandry's, and then it's a toss up between Hextech GLP-#### or a resist item, but Taliyah is long enough range that you can get away with just building a lot of health / AP items.

Max your Q first, then your E. Use Q once to get the worked ground, then use Q inside that circle for last-hitting or poking. Only use a full Q if you can get the whole combo off on someone, or if you need to clear the wave. If you do use a full Q, try to use as little space as possible, stand just outside your other Q circle. If you're against a skillshot champ like Viktor, Ahri or Vel'koz, cast two Qs next to each other for a big MS boost area, and use that speed to dodge skillshots.

As for Lichbane, you can actually auto and cast other spells while your full Q is going off, so you can weave in a Lichbane auto while casting Q, and it adds a hefty chunk of damage to your combo.
