We have to be careful what we wish for, because Riot is really listening
This season, Riot has been tackling many issues I see players bring up frequently in this community. Some examples include:
*Months and months of complaints about ADC resulting in devs committing to opening up botlane for other roles
*Nerfing Fleet Footwork for marksmen who were coasting early games with it's sustain, then nearly doubling Fleet Footwork's power on melee to help them survive poke while experimenting in bot.
*Buffing marksmen counter class, Divers/ Assassins itemization while worsening crit itemization costs and power
*Buffing mage damage vs towers when players pointed towards siege damage being a strong reason why Ziggs persisted longer than most mages in the bot role.
*Pulling back on fighter itemization buffs and promising less turbulent patches until preseason after players complained about the strain of all the recent sweeping changes.
*Announcing vast improvements to matchmaking planned for next season in response to countless accusations of poor matchmaking.
*Rapid response nerfs to champs that begin to draw the ire of the playerbase( and correctly so). "Irelia and Camille" most recently.
Lately, players have begun asking for less frequent patches. This may or may not be a good thing, but one of Riot's core philosophical goals during it's creation was to solve the problem so many players had of developers just sitting on their laurels and releasing patches super infrequently.
Riot seems to be doing their best to appease their player base. So be responsible and think twice before you ask for something you may regret down the line.
