There needs to be more warning when you're about to ban a teammate's hover

Got into champ select, got first pick, and was excited to play some Neeko. Enemy team didn't ban but my teammate did entirely on accident, despite the fact I already had Neeko hovered from the first few seconds of champ select. And that's my big issue with the system currently, he didn't do it on purpose, he genuinely didn't know he was banning my champion because he was autopilot banning.

Maybe there needs to be a pop up or something, but we need a better warning for this. The guy felt terrible :(
