AT PBE item 3092 Frost Queen's Claim And eye of the watchersitem 2301 Unique Passive - Tribute is now disabled for 12 seconds after killing a minion.

BECAUSE PUNISHING SUPPORTS FOR FARMING AFTER THEY HAVE FULL FINISHED ITEM IS GOOD DECISION AM I RIGHT? Other gold income tier 3 support items dont have this downside btw

IS IT JUST BECAUSE PEOPLE STARTED BUILDING FROST QUEEN CLAIM ON MID BRAND ?_**WHY THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT CONSIDERED BAD IN THE FIRST PLACE **

Dont feel like arguing with bronze noobs who ll claim that mid brand is fine with 2x doran / nomicon because he is NOT. FROST QUEEN WAS GIVING BRAND EVERYTHING HE NEEDED IN MID. BRAND WAS FINALY FAKING VIABLE AGAIN AND THE LAST TIME HE WAS VIABLE WAS HIS FAKING RELEASE. HE WAS OUTCLASSED BY SO MANY MAGES AND FINALLY HE HAS DMG .. NOT ULTRA WIERD CORE BUILD PATH AND RIOT CONSIDERES THAT BAD?

Brand mid uses it so what? CONSIDER THAT A GOOD THING atleast you arent forced to go double doran (which is wierd) because rylai and lyandri passive powerspike cannot be delayed. FROST QUEEN CLAIM DIDNT DELAY THAT SPIKE FOR BRAND AS MUCH AS NOMICON DOES

I have seen Morgana mid using it? Great Morgana mid could be viable after what 3 years to ? HOW IS THAT A BAD THING I have seen other mages using it by judging by how few gold they earned its not viable for them.

TLDR Basicly Riot is nerfing a support items because brand finaly has buildpath which feels just perfect for him*[zombie-brand-mindblown]*

EDIT: Yeah Deathfire Touch is also the huge reason brand mid became viable. Didnt mention it because it wasnt to relevant to this thread

First of all.. No. Brand was good due to the deathfire mastery and still is. The reason was people were abusing it in solo lanes as they could poke and earn money and farm to earn money. It had almost no downside. Also this is exactly how the old frost queens used to be. So they are mainly reverting it to what it was.

Actually, Old Frost Queen's only gave 40 AP, had an AoE skill shot slow, and only generated 10 gold per hit on enemy champions. It's passive was NOT disabled for killing minions.

Yes he is good because of deathfire mastery but he doesnt have wierd build because of frost queen .. which is insanely good on him

Just played again syndra she earned like 500-600 gold from it .. sorry but i manged to learn 2k with brand ...

IN theory it could work on some dot mages. I tried it at teemo .. ehm i earned lots of gold because of shrooms his poison didnt proc it .. i earned like 1400 gold

Gotta try it on cass but it most likely wont be good on her. since only 50 or so ap seems like a waste cuz of passive.. she also doesnt need mana regen / cdr

She is fine with Rod of ages > Rylai > Lyandri > Rab build

I don't think it was nerfed just because of brand. The item was being used on all most any mid laner mage not just brand or morgana. I also disagree with the way the changes to the item were done. I think nerfing the gold income was the wrong approach to this items problem. I think they should of taken a look at the amount of AP or CDR or Mana Regen it was giving. To me all of those stats are the majority of the reason mid laners were taking this item. The mana regen on Frost Queen is better than morello, the CDR and AP are also quite nice especially considering this items build path is so cheap and the item itself is cheaper than a morello. This item being as cheap as it was and providing the stats it did are why we saw it on so many mid mages. You could hit your power spike that much faster and the activate from Frost queen was nice too.

People are sheeps

They saw me abusing spellthief brand started doing that like 2 weeks ago. And sudendly they though it was viable for mid. Of course i wasnt the only 1 who realised how spellthief works in midlane on dot mages...

Most of people who are going Frost queen on any mage are just sheeps ... and they are holding their team back because of stupid build.

Both Morelonomicon and Frost queen fix the mana issues for most of champions Nomicon gives more ap and cdr but costs more

they put the disable because ADC's will buy it to get bonus gold, we saw this with AP Mid Runeglaive Ezreal.

Frost Queen's Claim Previous Tribute changes reverted; no longer disables for 12 sec after killing a minion. Base Mana regeneration lowered to 100% from 150% Active slow duration now scales from 2 to 5 seconds based how far the ghosts have traveled from 4 seconds. [CONTEXT: Meddler with context on their current thoughts about FQC].

So its still viable on brand mid but I dont think it ll be go to item for other mages now (;
