And i mean at their strongest, when they're strong in the current meta, and when they're snowballing

let's be honest here, ranged top laners are like a specialized tool designed to curb the fact that every single top lane champion is in one form or another cancer, waiting to spread and kill your matches

we ranged top laners are the heros you need, we stop the darius pentadunks, we stop inting sion, we hold off the jax/tryn/yorick triple tower push. We pull pressure to top lane from enemy jungle due to our insane pressure, we can carry a game early or help to get our late game carries in the game

like watchers on the wall, hated for how we work, but never appreciated for the outcome of it

I've also left out because he's essentially half and half.

The only reason you’ll ever see Lulu top is funneling.

She can’t lane though. Riot specifically nerfed her laning a while back because of how toxic it was.

Maybe “can’t” was too strong a word. It was nerfed pretty hard into making it unviable, though. Specifically, her waveclear was completely removed (Glitterlance only damages the first target hit per bolt).

i mean, you can just like.. auto attack it and not permashove

yeah they messedwith the ruunans interaction but you can still just AA the wave with lots of a/s to get everything pretty good

luudens or shiv will help with that too, and both are viable on her luudens being better and also purple but shiv being funnier (Who can resist laughter when they just get polymorphed and then auto attacked to death.. five times in lane.. like noone would ever rage amirite?)

thresh second best lane is top, lucian works great into juggernauts because he can harass for free and normally builds cleaver+botrk top lane making him a strong pick, Orianna top was meta from seasons 5-7 and is only a minor balance tweak away from coming back

Lulu top is actually a thing, it's uncommon but it pops up from time to time since she is incredibly safe, has lots of build options, and has loads of damage, so she doesn't actually need to be a gold funneler to make it work
