How do I learn from my replays?

People have suggested to me that watching a replay of a game that I lose can help me identify what I'm doing wrong, but I'm not even sure what exactly I'm doing wrong or not. How would I use this to make less mistakes?

You watch for the mistakes you made. Like if you went this way could of lived or if you all in on this play could of gotten a kill. If I watched the mini-map could of pushed or stay at my tower.

This and noticing your opponents trading patterns while you fight.

Generally in lower elo's, the same champ tends to trade in the same way, its consistent and predictable. But this can also extend to how they react when there is a jungler nearby, to predict ganks

It also helps to watch replays of people who are more skilled than us. If we watch what they do we can learn from it.

SoloRenektonOnly has a youtube channel with a lot of replays, he does a good job of explaining why he does what he does in-game.

There are a lot of others on youtube and twitch as well who have useful guides on various topics from zones of control to map awareness to trading and even minion management.
