Sightstone and Clairvoyance should work like the jungle items

Riot don't want sightstone to be attractive for laners? then give it the jungle items treatement. You can build sightstone only if you have {{summoner:2}} with different upgrade to it.

There's no way I want to be bot lane without combat spell in the current state of the game.

A combat SPELL.

Exhaust slows an enemy and lowers his damage output, which means I can either peel, clutch save, or garen-tee a kill to my teammate with it. Ignite deals true damage, reduces healing and gives vision for the duration, which means I can tag the enemy with it to avoid bush juking, make sure they don't get saved by that pot, surprise them with the added burst early game, etc.

Both summoner spells actually give me something in combat. CV doesn't.

The idea's good, but Clairvoyance will never be as useful, as one-shot vision, as what wards offer already. Especially because of trinkets. My personal hunch and hope is that preseason might see Sightstone and bought wards removed in favor of buffs and extensions to trinkets instead. Besides, forcing Supports to take Clairvoyance instead of Flash/Exhaust? Clairvoyance would need some insane buffs.

Removing Sightstone from the game AND bought wards means that Warding would be taken away from gold calculation altogether. It would promote warding on every player's part as there wouldn't be that one guy dedicated to it anymore. Keep in mind that i'm still proposing making Trinkets better in exchange.

clairvoyance will never be as useful? then give it something usefull? like reveal stealth unit in 600 range? something other than real vision jungle are forced to take smite, i don't see why support should not be forced to take clairvoyance

Mostly because supports are already forced to get Exhaust instead, which has plenty of uses, and revealing invisible enemies is already done by Oracle's Lens anyway. Anything you give to clairvoyance, the other Trinkets already do. As far as I'm concerned, Clairvoyance is one of the Spells the game no longer needs.

Why not tie Sightstone with Exhaust instead if that's what you want? Or better yet, tie Barrier to Runic Shield, Heal to Ancient Coin and Exhaust to Spellthief's Blade? (or just about any other order (or even give each item a chance at upgrading each Spell?))

the thing is that you can reveal stealth across the map

why not sightstone with exhaust? because sololaners can run exhaust and abuse ss

except there is what like 6 stealth champs in the game? so that gonna be useful every game clearly, and junglers are forced to take smite now and they actually pretty much always have season 4 jungle was the only jungle where i remember people getting away with jungling without smite cause the monsters were so weak, but even then not taking smite put you at a huge disadvantage

If it can teach Bronzies how to ward, then hell yes, let them abuse SS by all means.

Clairvoyance was quite popular in Season 1, before they nerfed it. So it could be quite useful again if they buffed it, I suppose.

They nerfed CV but the meta shifted as well where supports need to pack combat spells.

Yeah, but CV has had a use in the past, and I think that if they buff it enough, it might be used again. Let's say it worked like it does now but with 30 second CD, wouldn't it be at least worth considering then? We could also ask the question if we want CV to be used more, a powerful CV tends to make it really hard for junglers to gank properly, especially when you consider that people have gotten better at warding in general (free trinkets!).

I'm not even sure it would become that valuable again - the best part of CV was how hard it could screw up the junglers in S1 because S1 jungle paths were a lot more predictable so you could literally track down the jungler and make his ganks impossible if you were good with CV.

I honestly believe CV as a summoner spell needs to go now that we have the blue trinket.

Pretty sure Riot's problem is that if they buff sightstone or ANY vision item, supports will then be forced to get it. And they don't want that

Jungle items give you combat stats, Sightstone doesn't

no, BUT THEY CAN if they change it THAT THE POINT

like 4 upgrade:

sightstone 1: X AP/mana/cdr sightstone 2: armor/hp/cdr

ect... that way sightstone is good without being abused by other laners

Ionian4 votes

Supports ARE forced to get it. Unless it's bronze.

Best Darius KR1 votes

Yes, and if they enphasize it EVEN more buy buffing Ruby Sightstone or only allowing sightstone to CV carriers, supports will then automaticaly be forced to waste 800 more gold on vision/be deprived of taking any other summoners besides flash/CV

Since when did Riot even mentioned that? Where's the link for proof? Or are you proposing these changes just because you want to stop building Sightstone as a Support?

Even if Riot didn't mention that it should be obvious. Everyone know how good vision is. If you buff sightstone to be good then every pro player will get it. This will just make the game boring to watch and play because it'll get drag out for so long.

Are we still talking about 90% of the idiots in Lol who doesn't like upgrading their trinkets? How is this even convincing to seduce people into buying Ruby Sightstone when they don't even want to spend a simple 250 gold?

But it doesn't give combat stats. Sightstone right now give some HP with wards so if they buff it to give Ap or armor or AD, depending on how good it is people will get it.

So, if a Jungler wants to get a sightstone aswell (such as Lee Sin or Evelyn), they'll be forced to take Clairvoyance and Smite? Ouch.
