@Riot Anything About Garen?
Let's be perfectly honest here; post-juggernaut update, Garen is hardly any different. The intention behind Garen's changes in the juggernaut update were supposed to make it so Garen did more than run up at the target, drop everything on them, then walk out. My experience since then is that.... Garen still does exactly that. Garen still charges in, silences his opponent, spins like mad for huge damage, then executes. All while building huge amounts of tank.
Moreover, Garen is still a "pub stomper"; an absolutely infuriating threat in lower divisions yet virtually unseen in higher divisions and pro play. His gameplay is basic, but while it's undeniably fun to charge in and wreak havoc while the enemy team throws everything they've got at you, it's not particularly fun to fight.
This isn't a complaint thread, and I'm not looking to rage or b**** at any Rioter willing to comment in the thread. But given Garen's continued (and relatively uninteresting) gameplay patterns disparity between lower and higher league gameplay frequency, are there any plans for Garen along the pipeline? I'm not even looking for straight up nerfs; just asking if there are any changes that might make Garen a more interesting opponent on the Rift.
Heck, weren't you guys talking back during the Preseason about adding in the "Cripple" status effect, preventing the target from using leaps and blinks but otherwise still allowing them to cast spells? Have you guys tried replacing Garen's silence with that?
