So Seraphs is getting nerfed (mana to ap conversion 3% ->1%) which I admit this item does too much and deserves a nerf. My only issue is that I literally have no other option if I am playing a mana hungry mage. It is the only mana regen item that isn't built for supports (no ROA doesn't count because it requires you to take damage, which doesn't help for people like Ziggs). Why was every single mana regen item converted to a support item?
They're seriously nerfing it to 1%? I wish they would just revert their stupid rework instead of completely gutting everything that made the item unique. Slapping CDR on everything under the sun but then nerfing the unique stats is silly and is going to end up with every item feeling the same.
Seraph's embrace is not getting nerfed. When Archangel's staff transforms it will still provide 3% of mana as AP. This nerf is so you have to give up some early power as intended by a stacking item in favor of mid-late game power.
Honestly, compared to adc items, seraph's is more like a must due to the shield it offers mages. It's not even just about the mana, it's literally the best combo of defense and offense for many mages who can't use abyssal. Sure it's strong, but it's not adc level broken. And the shield duration was cut way down not too long ago with a change. As for how much ap it gives, people used to get more ap from items than most of them offer now. So unless you are rocking death cap, you tend to have less ap for most of the game than before runes reforged and mage item rework(s). Thus, as someone who basically only plays AGAINST mages, I'm perfectly fine with where archangels is right now.
