Lee Sin takes skill
..so we don't need to nerf his power.
Meanwhile, arguably the most difficult to play champion in the game (
) is thrown to the dirt.
GG Rito.

to be fair as a champion lee sin isn't the best at anything he is good at everything but over all he isn't the best at ganking, fast clearing, tanking, or carrying. There are plenty of champs who have better ganks than lee sin who can clear camps faster who are tankier and who can carry
Lee Sin is the best counterganker in the game though, because his W brings him straight to his ally and he has incredible amounts of burst damage to punish you for failing to kill the ally during the gank.
Rek'Sai can be there faster from any point on the map and provide a good amout of CC
Sorry, should've stated this was pre-6. Also, Lee Sin is the only champ that can realistically tower dive at lvl. 3.
"dive" maybe Q then W away, if you stay under tower you will die in seconds
see some LCS plays that Lee has done. The ganking behind towers that pros can pull off is pretty amazing.
keywords here are "LCS" and "PROS"
he acutally does, why do you think lee is lc$bigplays but not bronzebigplays?
I'm actually not disagreeing that Lee is a difficult champion to play well, but I'm saying that they've used this as an excuse in the past to keep his strength completely intact.
At the same time, Azir (who probably has the highest mechanical difficulty of any league champ and is much more risky than Lee Sin) sees a handful of games in the LCS to mixed results and gets nerfed to the ground because of it.
And it wasn't like, 'oh lets nerf a little bit, see what happens, and go from there', it was a complete nerf on every single one of his strengths. Damage, range, siege, everything.
I'm not saying that Azir didn't need a few minor nerfs, especially his q and w to towers could have used a hit, but the soldier range was way too much. I don't understand why they wouldn't just introduce these nerfs one at a time and get a feel for each before they move ahead.
The biggest problem with lee sin is twofold. First, he has the best regeneration of any energy based champion. Returns energy EVERY time he uses an ability(next two basic attacks)?!? No other energy champion even comes close to that.
Second, I agree he takes skill. Here's the problem, once you get good with him, and i mean really good; he is literally unbeatable in the hands of a skilled player. Unless his teammates are absolute morons, then you have no chance.
