That was before the Conqueror nerfs on ranged btw. Talk about runes diversity for mages. It was only abused on ADC not mages.

If they made it last 8 seconds for everyone, maybe. Making it so mages have to auto to maintain it, and that things like dots couldnt maintain it, there was nobody left who could use it.

I was looking forward to using it on Heimer as an anti tank option, but nope, especially now at lasting only 2 seconds. Its only for ADs

Honestly anyone who thought mages would abuse conqueror is delusional. Most of them need to use all of their spells to fully stack it and then don't have any spells to make use of the buff with. The only 2 mages that can reasonably stack it and still have abilities to use it with are Ryze and Cassiopeia and after how hard it got nerfed even that is very unreliable and offers little damage anyway.

Yes I do remember, and it was abused by Azir and Cassiopeia before it got nerfed into the ground on ranged champions.

Didn't they after putting the Conq change on the PBE live for a day have to hotfix it cuz of Azir and stuff like him late game became messiahs?
