Daily annoyance: Why the hell does chogath scale so hard?

I get that he's immobile but he gets stupidly tanky and most his abilities have suuuper high AP scaling and then his ult is true damage. I'm not saying burn this champion to the ground but wtf are you supposed to do when you're playing a squishy with low attack range, he's so hard to deal with in lane for me and that sustain on his passive doesnt help in the least.

Cho'gath is quite good against burst-style champions that are common in the mid lane. Killing him in the mid game when you still don't have the items to burst him down effectively will be very difficult. You have to counter his sustain by harassing him in lane with auto-attacks, but honestly it won't do too much. It just stems the sustain he has. Honestly, though, he doesn't scale as well as some people think he does. He lacks any reliable engage like most other tanks have, with low range spells and no mobility. It's mostly just trying to get through that laning phase that's important, and keeping in mind the damage that his ultimate has. Possibly the only advice I can give, since I haven't had enough experience playing against him.

Don't play a squishy with low attack range. How many champions are squishy with low range? Fizz Is all I could think of after 5 minutes.
