Snowballing is even more oppressive in preseason 6.

  1. The change to jungler gold income. This essentially makes the game unplayable for many AD bruiser junglers, most AP junglers and all carry junglers. It is now mandatory to tax lanes instead of being able to sustain your income from the jungle alone. If you ever fall behind, expect to only have sightstone + tabis by 20 minutes since laners will take all your camps and you won't ever see extra benefit from the lone camps you are able to take.

  2. The snowballing changes. You were already punished enough for being down levels, but you at least had a chance to win through stalling then outscaling or with AOE. Now the game itself works against you. And with AFKS? Forget about even thinking to win.

now you don't have to wait for 20 to end a losing game. Faster iterations means more ranked games per season.

It reduces the quality of high elo games and makes them look more like low elo games where it's always a stompfest. A major drawing point of being high elo is game quality being higher.

Huh?

It's the opposite. As soon as someone messes up, the enemy puts the losers in a stranglehold until the game ends. The higher you go, the more of a stompfest it is. The hallmark of a low elo game is back and forth stuff because no one knows what the heck they are doing.

This doesn't make high elo game look like low elo games. It makes low elo games look like high elo games.

absolutely not. There's tons of turnarounds, at least in the lower parts of high elo (low diamond/high plat). It is more like in bronze and silver, teams surrender@20 due to a roflstomp rather than drag the game out, because they simply don't have the mechanical skill and strategy to counter-rotate, disengage and defend. Instead they engage on an entrenched fed team and die for nothing.
