The reasons behind Promo fiestas and how to gtfo of your elo.

When you get into your promos, your MMR jumps up to the next divison. For example, if you are bronze 1 going into the promos of silver 5, your MMR is now at silver 5 even though you are still bronze 1. This means a few things,

-First if your MMR is automaticly higher, that means there is a more likely chance of a lower MMR player to average out the team's MMR. Lower MMR means potentially a worse player.

To make sure this is crystal clear, you might have a full team of 1250 mmr rating player prior to promos. But since you got into your promos you have 1350 mmr, then you have 3 people at 1250 mmr, you at 1350 mmr, and that guy at 1150 mmr.

-Second, your higher MMR also means you are playing against better players. Theres nothing you can do about that other than try to play well.

*Also its still early in the season so there are still gold/plat players in high bronze and low/mid silver, so occasionally you will get rofl stomped in low elo.

So when your promos becomes a clown fiesta, it just means you drew the short stick and just got a player whose having a rough day and someone good on the enemy team.

But we do have one thing going for us, you usually get as much or more lp per win compared to when you lose = still climbing even tho you have a 49% win rate. Also you have the free promo win when playing the same promos more than once so its really nice.

Like a real life example is me. Started in bronze 3 and now silver 5, I have a 50% win rate so that means you dont necessarily need to win more than you lose. Don't sweat it if you can't climb right now, you have the whole year to climb and so many wins left to get.

The best tip to climb is to know how to get and when to get objectives, check those mini maps, get picks, play champs who are consistently reliable to carry. Play to your strengths and take advantage of the enemy weakness. How to do all that is for you to figure it out, not for your team to figure it out.
