creeps, monsters, minions and champions cannot see me they dont know i exist and yet when a lux or a zoe randomly chucks a spell at some minion the purple blob flies over 5 feet to reveal me and ruin my gank

Because it doesn't target, IIRC if you are near an ally that is Brand ulted, it will leap to you without a second thought.
