Give Supports a special "support" minion to kill

Im not sure how effective it might be if at all, but i think since supports can only look in hunger as their adc's take all the cs, kills exp etc Why not make a special "support" minion that would function as a normal minion BUT wouldn't give gold or exp to anyone BUT the support.

Maybe it could be green in color and have a nurse cap on its head and would give to the person that picked the supp role some gold and exp its just one minion but what do you guys think? It could come in lane with all the minions bot like every 2 mins.

I mean if we really want to look at the reason why a large percentage of the player base does not like to play support, it is not because of CS. At lease any support who understands the actual objective of the game, who works to win, rather than their Call of Duty stats (which is sadly what so many people care about). If you are playing support and you have a problem with CS, you are not in the right mindset to play ranked at all, especially support.

The support role is about winning the game not your KDA and CS, which is what so many people care about. No a real support understands that they have a huge influence on the outcome of a game. They carry. No the issue is the community and their complete lack of respect or appreciation for real supports. Part of this is the ADC god complex were they think they are hot shit and all of their success is their own doing and all of their failure "is the supports fault". In reality all of their success is because of their support.

Reason why so few people play support and jungle? If something goes wrong everyone blames them. You lose top or mid? jungles fault. ADC loses bot? Its the supports fault.

I pretty much agree on all that but another reason i would add is that supports have the worst scaling. Ofc i want to win the game and tbh i hardly care about Cs or my kda as supp, but it is slightly annoying when your behind levels and everyone else is 3 or 4 levels above you.

The exp part is something they could look at. You are right, it is pretty easy to fall behind in levels. I cant say I have ever been 3 to 4 levels down on my teammates, but certainly being a level or 2 behind does happen. Typically I am usually the same level as my ADC.

eyy, its just an idea really but maybe they would just give some extra exp to supp instead without the gold then. (since we have bandit) It could be like the old exp mastery but just more independent?

They have to keep the gold generation. It equates to roughly 25% of your gold a game. It would be a mistake to break one thing, to fix another only to now have a new problem. In the wise words of every IT department. Don't fix what isn't broken. If Riot feels like they need to do anything at all I would like to see them expand on the support items to also offer an EXP bonus. Something like this....

"receive X exp bonus when near allies of higher level".

Something along those lines that help to keep supports in line with their levels, while only providing the bonus if they are doing what they are supposed to be doing "supporting".

That would kind of be a useless, unnecessary attribute to the game. Supports already get enough gold as it is, so what's the point of adding one minion that gives a support gold every 2 minutes? It just seems like a bandaging the game.

But does the support have to kill it? If so, that really hurts the roaming that a support can do, chaining him to bot lane and making him less useful to his mid laner and jungler. Especially Bard.

Terrible Ideas: The Idea

Yes they'd have to kill it, it wont be in lane every minion wave though so you could still roam if you really want.

As for the gold and exp, since we don't have the experience mastery anymore you could at least gain some yourself without just having to stand around soaking up exp from your adc also extra gold is always nice c:

The exp for 1 minion are around 23 and gold - lets say 20. So you get every 2 mins this gold + exp which is 200 gold and 230 exp in 20 minutes. I guess it wouldnt be worth. And you have to think about a big problem:

Will these minions spawn at all 3 lanes? just the bot lane? the lane where the support is right now?

With the first option, top and mid got minions they dont need and would just disturbe them.

Second option is a problem when laning phase is over or you got a support which roams a lot.

At Option 3 we got the problem about is this minion coming only from enemy base or from both bases? When its from both bases, what if red support is top and blue support is bot, are there 4 minions on the map ?

Ah i forgot to mention that they should only really be bot. just bot is where they would spawn

Pretty much after laning phase either they would go or they could possibly stay.

Then nasus would go bot lane

how about they only spawn in lanes where the enemy has one of the support gold income items at the first wave? and you need to have that support item or something that it builds from in order to kill them. Granted this might make support items bleed out into other lanes but then they have to keep it the whole game, meaning they're probably going to get more wards so not too awful right?
