Okay should we put a cap on brand's damage to epic monsters.

I'd rather we just cap his damage period.

Fuck brand.

TyrekGoldenspear2 votes

his damage is capped bro.

Its locked into combos, and he is rewarded for landing them. He is very skill shot reliant and has only one source of reliable damage besides his ult.

MunchCrunchLunch1 votes

brands W is one of the easiest skillshots to dodge

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT

His E and Ult aren't even skillshots. they are point and click.

TyrekGoldenspear2 votes

W isn't even a skillshot. Its a delayed AOE explosion that is used for harras.

A good Brand will wait for you to try to CS or when you're stunned to use it. Otherwise it can be dodged.

His E has a relatively abysmal range and he has to put himself in danger to use it.

I'll give you his ult but it's an ultimate ability that fizzes out if the enemy's alone.

MunchCrunchLunch1 votes

not really. you his W to minions and ult the enemy your guarnteed at least 2 bounces if they don't flash. .

MunchCrunchLunch1 votes

and you main brand anything u say is biased as hell.

TyrekGoldenspear1 votes

And you don't main Brand and think he's OP, you are also biased.

Okay first of all no Brand who knows what he's doing would use his ult during leaning unless a kill is garunteed. Its wasteful compared to what he could do if he saves it for a gank bot.

Second the standard combo is to W the minions and them, E to spread and kill the minions, Q to stun and apply explosion, then back off or all in with ignite.

Third his ult is extremely underwhelming during laning when you think about it. It's 100 damage scaling .25 AP per bounce, so even if I were to hit you three times with it that's only 300-500 damage total, plus 16% max health (scaling super slow with AP).

That is nothing compared to a lot of burst mages which is why a good brand doesn't expect to 100-0 with his ult.

His ult early game is meant to spread the passive, and if you noticed his rework lowered his damage across the board and locked it into his explosion, so I have to hit all three spells to unlock my max damage potential.

MVpmack1 votes

3 bounces from brand ult is doing approximately as much damage as a veigar ult. "nothing compared to burst mages"

/hmm

TyrekGoldenspear1 votes

Eh, Veigar's ult does missing health damage as well.

It's much more reliable burst .

MVpmack1 votes

it's an execute actually, but you're correct, it technically can do as much as 4 brand bounces

TyrekGoldenspear1 votes

You're also correct, but remember that Brand's ult can bounce up to five times total, but can never hit one person more than 3 times.

Dracocrash2 votes

so... half of his skills are not skillshots?

And rylies makes it increadibly easy to land skillshots.

TyrekGoldenspear1 votes

To be precise, Brand has one skill shot, two point and clicks, and a delayed AOE explosion.

And that is why Rylais is core on him. :P

It DOES have a cap. Perhaps now low enough of one, but it's there.

no there isn't. his passive does more damage than smite.

: Brand's abilities set his targets ablaze upon damaging them, dealing 2% of target's maximum health over 4 seconds as magic damage, stacking up to 3 times, and empowering his abilities against them. The damage against monsters is capped at 320.

JohnEric1 votes

Okay, you are totally ignoring the other half of the passive.

You are correct with the first half: "Brand's abilities set his targets ablaze upon damaging them, dealing 2% their maximum health as magic damage over 4 seconds, stacking up to 3 times, and empowering his abilities against them. The damage against monsters is capped at 320."

Note that this only refers to the DoT damage (the little effect when you see your champion burning)

The next half is only capped by max health of the target:

"Blaze Debuff At 3 stacks, an area about the target is marked, which explodes after 2 seconds. All enemies struck are dealt 12 - 16 (based on level)% 「 (+ 1.5% per 100 AP) 」 their maximum health magic damage. The explosion will still trigger if the target dies to the third ability or during the delay. Brand cannot stack Blaze on enemies who have exploded in the past 4 seconds."

This debuff explosion is not capped to 320 damage. This is why jungle brand is quite effective at clearing camps and getting epics.

depends on health of epic and ap of brand, but its capped.

I'd just remove all %hp dmg from the game

Sariat12 votes

Why not just go and remove damage from the game while you're at it?

The Deckowner1 votes

why not kappa

Sariat11 votes

Well, it would certainly make every champ a lot more balanced. Every champion would have the same possibility to impact the game, and they would still keep their unique looks and visuals. When you think about it, that's about as perfect balance as you can get.

Sniper 01 votes

%hp damage generally is a check to tanks so.... I'd rather it not be removed. Tanking would become rather boring with a tank buster. z.z

Sniper 01 votes

In order for someone to get humor it doesn't need to look like a serious statement.

Meep Man1 votes

His passive doesn't have a monster damage cap?

MunchCrunchLunch1 votes

no it doesn't. he can literally solo baron if he has a psuedo tank to absorb damage for few seconds

hOrnn1 votes

it does, but its the firat half of the damage, after 3 sTACKS KABOOOM BABY PENTAKILL

Anonagon1 votes

It shouldn't be capped Its not really all that much considering the investment required (3 spells) and the built in cooldown it also provides brand a unique strength in comparison to other burst mages

Weathered1 votes

I haven't noticed that this is a problem.

Calabok1 votes

If in a position where there is nothing for ult to bounce off of, Brand is basically hosed

hOrnn1 votes

it has a cap, all percent health damages have caps on epic monsters...
