80% of the Yasuo plays here was because of lifesteal and warlord

Lifesteal is a problem that Riot is silent about, 99% of Yasuo problem could be fixed if Lifesteal wasn't involved at all. The abundance of lifesteals itemization, the amount of masteries and runes for lifesteal and stat synergies makes it one of the best stat to any ad champion in the game. Spellvamp was for me Balanced but because of one specific champions named Vladimir riot decided to maybe remove the stat from itemization. Who's problem was it the stat or the champions? Because spellvamp was a great stat on AP assassins champions because they would be able to survive after they blow their abilities.

A Tank should not be a health pool for Ad champion to regen on.

Warlords shouldn't exist It makes botlane boring and uninteractive as fuck while enabling plays like the above to happen

Actually Keystones in general should just be removed

NineTailedMystic8 votes

As much as I love TLD I gotta agree at this point. They've just been a balance catastrophe since their induction to League.

Warlord's should be the counter-offensive keystone for ferocity without granting lifesteal. For example, I am the ADC and get dived. If I survive the damage, if I am low HP, I can get a huge chunk of AD like Tryndamere, attack speed like Olaf, or just good old flat armor pen.

Lifesteal is a horrible stat to hand out for free.

Spoofghoul10 votes

or you know

make lifesteal not interact with crit

Handy Sandy 9 votes

And this is why lifesteal is a problem. Why pick Vladimir Aatrox when I can use Yasuo and do their job, and more!

Faustavian1 votes

Not lifesteal per say, that just needs a reduction in % or a reduction in damage all around as damage allows lifesteal to work

invisiblecat11 votes

A jinx with warlords has more sustain than aatrox

FighterA2368 votes

We can leave lifesteal untouched but we have to remove spell vamp because "Spells are different than auto attacking" Riot 2016.

And people wonder why I say riot has double standards.

don't compare burst heal and sustained heal

NineTailedMystic2 votes

That 33% effective AoE on top of the measly amounts of Spellvamp we had. So much healing /s

ScissorsNstuff1 votes

.12 *.33 * (280+70AP)

11.088 * 2.772% AP heal per target From ahri's Q. She could realistically have 500 ap and hit 4 targets for 44 + 55.44 heal. Then add to this the rest of her kit and the fact that mages can't e given good sustain so they have passives like ahri's or something else to keep them alive. The bursts of effective defenses were too much. And that's after the nerfs over 4 years ago

ScissorsNstuff5 votes

The problem here isn't lifesteal, the problem is that draintanking > sustained damage and it doesn't help that both champs attacking yasuo are reliant on slow skillshots.

The problem isn't yasuo in this this clip. Those two just fucked up horribly

NineTailedMystic1 votes

Flamespitter is a skillshot?

Wizardavar1 votes

Depend on how you define skillshot. Which had spawned a stupidly large thread in reddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/529hws/til_kindred_was_the_first_champion_since_mid_2012/

Melledoneus9 votes

Shouldn't drain tanking not be a thing when in a late game 2v1?

Jet Sett4 votes

Depends, Yasuo is a late game carry and Camille's damage falls off in comparison. He cc'ed the Rumble and prevented him from using his E skillshot, making him deal less damage as well.

In no world should an ADC be healing more than a Swain.

I've been playing a lot of Quinn recently and I've come to like building her as a traditional marksman, that is to say, crit, liftsteal, AD and attack speed.

After experimenting with several builds and build paths, I have realized that lifesteal is not as broken as you guys are claiming. True drain tanks like Swain and Vlad have lots of advantages. For one their shit is built in, a markman's lifesteal is not. I've experimented with builds where I rush lifesteal on Quinn and typical bot marksman champions and discovered that while it gives you a lot of sustain, your damage is pitiful. Swain would not have this problem. As a mage, he has the damage and the sustain to be relevant. I've found it infinitely better to rush crit and AD on marksmen. Lifesteal I save for late game and that's when it becomes broken because of the high damage crits.

In short, a marksman would be better off not getting lifesteal early as he would be robbing himself of a lot of damage, and I mean a lot, a disadvantage that Vlad and Swain would not have. Also, Swain and other drain tanks don't have to spend gold to attain their sustain.

MissingKayo4 votes

And lifesteal champions get their kits weakened because they have lifesteal. ADCs don't, but buy it or get it for free from Warlord's.

ScissorsNstuff1 votes

warlords isn't free

you give up a shit ton of damage for warlords.

Its not their fault if noobs don't check for keystones and can't tell if starting stats are high or low.

MissingKayo2 votes

No they don't, Warlord's is in the offensive tree.

ScissorsNstuff1 votes

so what?

Without a shit ton of damage it isn't going to do you much good. Fervor and dft both provide the damage you need to counter something like warlords. The counter to sustained heal is burst.

MissingKayo2 votes

Fervor and DFT are for sustained.

ScissorsNstuff1 votes

sustained "heal"

you can counter inadequate sustained damage with heal.

interestingly, while yasuo was healing 120 per hit, full fervor + crits comes out to 120 damage per hit lol

Life steal becomes built in when you see Warlord's on anyone who is auto based every single game.

No where near as powerful as Vlad's empowered Q or Swain's ultimate.

MissingKayo2 votes

That does it in one burst. Autoattacking and lifesteal does it in smaller amounts per auto, but you can do it a lot faster than they can.

Actually, I've tried this. I've actually experimented heavily with Warlords as a way to out duel people early and it didn't work. It failed miserably. With Doran's blade, Warlords was only good for healing up after a bad trade and even then it wasn't all that impressive. I only take it when I go for lifesteal in runes and masteries which gives some decent sustain on champs that can build Runaan's but it's not nearly enough to duel most champions. It's great for healing up on minions after a skirmish but not much else.

The problem with Yasuo is his passive. The one where he gets double crit. This is what makes Warlord's broken. It's been my findings that Lifesteal starts becoming problem when you start dishing out a lot of damage. People seem to forget that crit doubles your damage. If you have 150 AD, which is about the amount you would have around the early to mid game, you would be dealing a whopping 300 damage for every crit. Yasuo can get this kind of damage for a lot less gold than most champions and he can get it very very early thanks to his double crit passive. Lifesteal on such insane early game damage is what is broken, not lifesteal itself. 300 damage on non-crit champions would require 300 AD which is near full build.

Why would the enemy Camille try fighting Yasuo who is clearly a duelist instead of Zed , Everyone knows champions who are dependent on AS & AD destroy Camille . That Rumble messed up his ult big time, No idea what was he thinking, He used his ULT too soon & done goof'd, Had Rumble dodged Yasuo tornado, Yasuo wouldn't have got the power spike from his ULT of shredding armor & then used his ULT on Yasuo would have killed him, Those were misplays by the enemy, Sending Rumble & Camille against Yasuo

  1. Rumble wasted his ULT big time.
  2. He could have dodged the tornado unless he was lagging
  3. Camille at the very least could have used ULT the moment Rumble used ULT so he would have little space to dodge Rumble abilites and wouldn't be able to dash to minions and that way Rumble ULT wouldn't be a complete waste. Literally at the beginning of the video 0:01
  4. Camille shouldn't fight Yasuo without item 3033 when Yasuo has Warlords & Life steal. It's plain dumb.

Correction to the Title of the thread: 100% of the Yasuo plays here was because of the enemy poor team work and performance & trying to fight a duelist with Camille & Rumble

NineTailedMystic8 votes

Camille is a duelist as well. What do you think is the point of her ultimate? The problem here is how the Yasuo fought 1v2 in Camille's ult and lived while not falling below 30-40% health until Camilles last Q because of Warlords.

Jet Sett1 votes

It's a bit unfair you don't mention him dodging nearly every skillshot with his dash.

I don't think he should survive while eating the whole duration of rumble Q.

One rumble q isn't gonna 100-0 yasuo. You missed nearly everything, and are complaining that he survived....

If you watched the video closely, rumble missed nearly everything, and Camille never hit yasuo till after her ult ended.

Stop pretending that this was a case of anything but a grievous misplay on rumble and Camille's part

Correction: He wasn't caught out, If you look closely, His health bar is blue and his on the blue side of the map, He was defending against them, Life steal helped him, But had Rumble not messed up his ULT yasuo would have died.

So according to your logic, If i sit under tower, Defend against 2 enemies by myself, That means, I am caught out. [zombie-brand-clap]

I agree but don't you think you are exaggerating a bit much at ''but some later into the game, especially against enemies who are easily capable of diving you, you are caught out if they choose to do so and your allies aren't near by.'' & He happened to win because Rumble & Camille are weak against Yasuo, Rumble wasted his ult but Camille could have still made of use of Rumble ULT had Camille used ULT the moment Rumble used ULT to zone Yasuo out, Rumble also could have easily dodged Yasuo tornado but didn't gave away Yasuo his armor shredding power spike, Had it been any other Duelist in the place of Yasuo, Even if the opponent played it perfectly they would have beaten them both fairly easily, But Vs Yasuo they had the chance & window to kill him but Rumble totally messed up by wasting his ult, Not dodging his Tornado. You are understimating Rumble ULT power, It can deal up to 1k+ dmg at level 6, It's one of the strongest ultimates in the game, He was at 40% hp obviously because Life steal, It is not absurd, He took advantage of the of himself being an AS & AD character, Characters like Rumble only have a chance of taking Yasuo down if they land a good ultimate, Camille stands no chance against an AD & AS based champions, Despite all this complaining. Rumble & Camille both have a higher win rate than Yasuo does. If life steal was sooo broken, Why does Yasuo not have a higher win rate than them?

This thread is irrelevant now.

statelesskiller1 votes

if you are at the state of the game where the camile is a 3k hp tank with a steraks . . . towers are worthless, if there is more then one enemy and you are defending your tower against them you are caught out, towers are worthless at that stage of the game

NightmareAmazoX1 votes

She will be a tank, And no matter whom you play, If you fight her under tower she will die.
