I just played a Smite Arena Game

To those of you who never played Smite, it's basicly Third Person View League, but everything is a skillshot, even Auto Attacks. The game uses Gods from many different cultures as their champions. It has modes like Conquest (regular Summoner's Rift stuff), Joust (3v3 - Single Lane), Random Game Modes, and Arena.

In Arena, you have a deathmatch with minions. Each team has 500 tickets. You make the enemy team lose tickets by last hitting minions, killing enemy gods, making your minion wave reach the enemy's portal, and escorting some Giant mininon.

It was the closest game I've ever played. One team never got an advantage much bigger than the other (the biggest one getting about 20 tickets ahead at most) and the team who was ahead was always changing. The game ended with my team losing by 4 tickets, this difference is worth 4 last hits.

"But Tequila, this is a LoL forum. We don't give two shits about Smite or the boring story you have to tell!"

I know. But I'm bringing this subject because it was the first time in many months that I actually had a REALLY close game in a MOBA and it's the thing I miss the most on League.

I couldn't care less about Camille being broken or Yasuo being Yasuo. Fuck the occasional Auto Fill or stepping on a Teemo's mushroom at 10% hp (nvm, this still infuriates me). What I'd actually like to see again is this. The close games that can swing both ways, not because one team tried to get Elder Dragon and got aced, or had one small slip on a teamfight, but an actual challenging game in which both teams go back and forth, fighting for taking one tower down to 50% instead of just bursting towers down in 1 minion wave after a 4 man towerdive on bot lane.

Well, I am glad for you but, in most cases, snowball is way harder in Smite than in LoL. It is easier to have close games in LoL than in Smite.
