What Some People Need to Hear

It's a pretty common sight around these boards to see people who are just raging about Champion X, or that their teams always feed and they cant't climb and this game sucks and blah blah blah.

Quit playing. Seriously.

Go play some other games for a while. There are so many good games out there to play that if League is just frustrating the fuck out of you, there's no point in wasting your time and getting upset playing something that's pissing you off.

I just came back from about a year break and it was a really good decision for me. I played a shitload of Rocket League and Smite and a bunch of other random games intermingled in there and had a blast. I finally decided to reinstall League a couple of weeks ago for shits and giggles.

Honestly, I don't really understand lethality, there's like 3 new champs I still don't fully know what the fuck they do, but overall I have been having a blast now that I'm back in it. Which is definitely something I could not have said before, because League was pissing me off royally any time I tried to play ranked solo queue.

Something about this game seems to make it hard for people to walk away from, at least it was for me. But you aren't gaining anything by bashing your head against a wall to play a video game that is supposed to be fun but just isn't fun for you. So go play some other games and experience that awesome stage of going from total noob at the game to getting good and enjoy the ride and then come back.

Sure, you might miss out on some things but League isn't going anywhere and it will be waiting for you when you come back.

Side note: Got ganked by a Kayn last night for the first time and thought I could kill him, had this fucker literally go out the top side of the map on me (was playing Top Lane) and come back in and kill me. Needless to say, was pretty god damn surprised and annoyed at the same time by that one.

This is seriously the best advice you can give. If you don't enjoy the game, don't force yourself to. I've been playing for 4 years and I do this all the time, especially when the meta isn't in my favor. If you really like the game you'll come back and things will feel a bit more fresh

Some suggestions.

HOTS is a great casual experience.

Dota is even more toxic than League much of the time, so coming back to League after playing Dota feels like everybody's a goddamn saint. Good game though.

Dead by Daylight isn't a moba, isn't free, and is also full of BM'ing sacks of shit, but killing those toxic asshats is incredibly satisfying.

For Honor has a small playerbase, so matchmaking and queue times aren't great, but it's still an amazing fighting game (so long as everybody has a good connection. Goddamn p2p connections).

Personally, League isn't unfun for me. I've gone months away and always been drawn back.

My biggest gripe is that the people never change. It is still the toxic cesspool it has always been. And League, to this day, remains the only game with a community that I cannot deal with. There are diamonds in the rough, but boy, is there a lot of rough.

Lethality is renamed armor penetration because Riot thought people thought that "armor penetration" would counter building armor. When the reverse is true and flat pen is best against low armor targets.

Also it does some stupid in game scaling.

When I don't play League, I just play Warframe to get my mind off of the toxicity in this game. I'm kind of glad I found out about Warframe from one of my friends. Sometimes, PvE is the way where I can vent out my anger from this game.

I did this a while back. Quite helpful when you are feeling bad. Too a break for about a month-ish? and came back like a new player.

It's what I did: I took months off of League and instead was able to increase my Steam library count by about a thousand. Money well spent, time well spent, and I felt very comfy.

I come back to League all fresh n shit, and first thing? Toxic and trolls.
