Never even realized it, but sure enough, first game of the day. It was actually my top laner that caught it, right after he died to a gank. I appreciate that he didn't try to sugar coat it, just gave me the diagnosis. He said "Jarvan, you are autistic". In that moment, my life changed forever.

It was pretty tough news to receive, but I think I'll be alright. I've been joining a lot of support groups and reading up on some literature.

Keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

They are just jealous of your social skills

You see autists are excellent at filtering out all irrelevant social imput and will only respond to stuff that is worthy enough of their attention

As an actual autist, whenever someone uses it as an insult i know it is inspired by ignorance. If you truly understood what autism is, you would realize its not really an insult - its as much a disability as your skin colour is.

That we're a little different, or unusual, doesnt mean we're worse - or better - than normal people like you. We're just a little weird. :)

I have relatives with autism, mostly low in the spectrum... but it was enough to upset me when people say 'youre autistic' as an insult in a game. its very insensitive and unnecessary.

i recommend reporting anyone who uses that type of hate speech and write what they said.

Hey man, I was called "gay" for camping a lane. At first I rejected it, but it turns out that I've been gay this whole time. I came out to my parents, they weren't too thrilled but they still love me.

Now me and my top laner have been together for almost two weeks. Life is amazing, I couldn't have asked for a better partner.

As a guy who has high-functioning autism (Asperger or something, oddly enough they don't use term anymore), I just roll with it and say "Yep, that the gist of it". It turns the insult into a joke, taking power away from them and putting the ball in your court. Also, if you make a comeback, you can just say that your enemy laner lost to a guy with autism :)
