Im jw because I'm fighting a team with one and the last Maokai I had on my team went from feeding Garen to 1v3ing him, Volibear, and a pretty bursty Katarina getting a double and escaping garen as well. He was tanky eenough to fight them for a full minute and without getting ridiculously fed either? Is he good?
Dragonlord71372 voteswell the damage reduction on his ult helps him a lot against people who don't understand how the damage increases. Also he does poorly against any champ that can kite him as his W range was reduced along to dealing % max health damage so he can fight tanks. If he was going up against a adc and support in the skirmish I'm guessing that 
would be dead and the adc would be above 50% health. In general does good against melee champions but struggles against ranged champions.

WinBoat1 votesHe's too strong for what he can do. I recently bought him and have gotten multiple S's with him while taking him jungle.
Once he builds tanky and nears a complete build, you can't really kill him, and his damage is actually pretty good thanks to abusing iceborn and sunfire like the rest of them do. He has good CC, he can root with his W, then knock back everything with Q, and protect his allies with his ultimate while they take less damage and then release said damage and destroy.
However, instead of nerfing him, I think Riot should just buff other champions like Sion, and stuff to match him.
