I don't agree. If somebody dies and somebody else points out their mistake it's going to sound condescending. If it happens to me I will generally not say anything, because I can't help but be annoyed when somebody adds salt to a wound i'm already beating myself up for.
And listening to "Advice" from teammates usually ends poorly for me, learning to trust my own judgement and figuring out what does/doesn't work is how I've climbed, deviating from that usually ends poorly.
I have a soraka politely ask me to gank botlane. We have a corki adc, and I am shyvana. The enemy is Lucian/thresh. As I get near the soraka charges blindly into their minion wave suddenly and the enemy walks away. I know exactly why my gank didn't pay off. We had no cc between the three of us and the soraka didn't know how to actually bait anything. They kept insisting I come botlane because the enemy played so aggro, but I knew the entire time it would be a waste.
I explained that we had no cc and her "baits" were too obvious. She kept insisting, in a way that I would definitely call not toxic, but I was annoyed nevertheless. I watch my replay, and know it was a mistake to try to gank botlane, the enemy was being aggressive for the simple reason that they knew they could get away with it, it was a mistake to bother trying to talk to the soraka and explain anything to her because she didn't get it.
I knew the enemy jungler/mid were duo and I knew the enemy would be more aggresive there. I went in with a gameplan to countergank because it's very easy to get kills when the enemy engages for you on one of your laners they think is alone. I'm willing to bet that game would've ended 10 mins sooner if I had stuck to my own gameplan and didn't bother with my soraka (who again, wasn't even toxic just like you said, they were legitimately trying to give advice/wondering what I was doing. It just so happens they were wrong on all accounts, which is why you don't trust them to begin with)
I stopped wasting my time, I stopped listening to the soraka and went with my own instinct to counter gank for brand, who despite being camped was winning his lane (but not really snowballing because the enemy jungler was keeping him from being aggresive). The instant I showed up and was simply there to back him up? He snowballed so hard and carried the game.
