IRONSTYLUS, next rioter to come to my thread, My Kingdom, My Sancturary

Ironstylus, the last time we heard from you speaking about Diana was when you made a thread asking the community to create Diana's kit without using numbers AND to ensure her kit will relate to her personality.

You haven't replied to not one post from that thread which I'm assuming that you're not satisfied with the suggestion that the community is asking for since the people weren't being creative.

The popular suggestion was to buff Diana's ratios into late game and switch her R with her E and create some vacuum type of ult.

My opinion to that popular suggestion: It's stupid. Why? because people aren't being creative as what you were asking for instead they are asking for a close combat Orianna ult. In other words Diana would be the melee version of an Orianna ult. And if we kept Diana's R the way it is, then she's a second version of Akali except Akali is able to dash 3 times WITHOUT the need of any "Q". So instead, Diana needs her Q to be able to only dash twice and waste in total of 215 mana at level 18.

Sadly I can't come up with a special whole unique kit for you but in my personal opinion I would have to say that Diana should be an Assassin and her secondary as a Fighter. I do not see Diana as a mage what so ever, just because she can make flashy things doesn't mean she should be a mage. She's more towards like Fizz where fizz is an Assassin/Fighter who builds AP and has a flashy kit. There's plenty of fighters/assassins who's kit are flashy and is AP or mixed with AD/AP and aren't considered as a mage as a secondary.

Finally, my overall opinion of Diana's kit:

Remove her E and replace it with her ult. Come up with a unique ult for Diana that is NOT her current E. Buff her base mana to talon's league. Lower her W mana cost and cool down Buff her early Q damage/W damage so that she is able to be a mid or top laner who can poke back.

If you're interested in my Ult Idea here it is WITHOUT USING NUMBERS:

Lunar Manipulation - Diana gains the ability to manipulate aspects of the moon where herself and moonsilver blade will lighten up and give her the power to attack aggressively and reduce the movement speed of enemies who is near by greatly. (it's basically like saying the moon will give herself and her blade the extra power to dominate and slow down the enemy with the force of gravity from her basic attacks, the enemy will feel like there movement speed is reduced by a chunk) The symbol of the moon will be shown under her as well as if it's reflecting the moon when her ult is activated.

OR a different name/bio : Lunar Empowerment - Diana has the power to absorb lunar energy to enhance and strengthen herself.

I would like to see Diana as a jungler and a laner not just being jungler. (:

I've only played Diana a few times on free weeks, but her kit really did feel like Akali but worse. The vacuum ult would be so gangster, even if it's just a melee ori ult.

how would a vacuum ult even look like?

I figured it would work like her old E, which was similar in that it drew all enemies toward her. This could make her ult work like an ori shockwave where she deals big damage and pulls all nearby enemies on top of her. At least that's how I envisioned it. Could be some silly diana+ori ball shenanigans though.

That's like saying Orianna's ball is Diana so Ori tosses Diana in the middle of the enemy group then ults.

It's the same thing.

I don't see the point you're trying to make. I'm just saying that making Diana's E into her ultimate and have it work like that would be better than it's current state. I'm not suggesting that they do that.

He's just explaining to you that putting Diana's E as her ult is not a creative Idea lol Orianna's ult either pushes people in different direction or pulls everyone to the center so putting Diana's E as a super vacuum ult wouldn't be creative if it's only going to pull everyone to the center. Plus it's very dangerous for Diana to do that since she's not the kind to go in first o.o

You might want to rethink that statement of yours. Try playing Diana as an initiator instead of some half baked Assassin. It works very well, especially in team comps that can give great follow up.

Except it's better and more suited to Dianas Kit. Imagine Diana with this new theoretical kit. I Q>E(Now Lunar rush instead of Moonfall) onto their backline. Then I R(New Moonfall) which is basically the old moonfall except wider radius, and it does some damage. At this point I can commence to W'ing, Autoing and Qing. Also I still have an extra E(now lunar Rush) which I could use to finish off any stragglers or whatnot. Diana would work so much better this way. She has so much AoE damage in her kit that many people are failing to look at, her passive is a BIG thematic and gameplay theme, it's not all about Lunar Rush! Why people think she's some Akali 2.0 is only because

**A. Too many people play Diana as if she's an assassin with any real escape and then feel heavily disappointed ** **B. Her Lunar Rush gives the deceptive perception that just because she can close the gap on someone she's an assassin. **

There are other caster fighters that can close gaps with ulti's and other skills. Renekton, Shyvanna, Panth (Sorta if you wanna count Grand skyfall as "gap closing"), Jax, Fiora. Are these guys assassins? Is Fiora an Assassin or do people just use the term "assassin" ignorantly on any champ that can gap close, displace and blow up a squishy? It's a common misconception and people get butt hurt when Diana doesnt perform like Fizz, Akali, Le Blanc, etc; because HELLO SHES NOT A FULLY EQUIPPED ASSASSIN! Her kit is not geared towards that, its so obvious it's painful.

The only champ thats considered an assassin thats eerily reminiscent of Dianas all in playstyle (besides Akali) is Talon. But Like Akali his burst potential is greater and his ulti is a better form of an escape if need be. So again, Diana is more of an AP brusier than an AP assassin. Her burst and movement that make assassins what they are is just not up to snuff. Stop trying to make her into something she's clearly not.

@PrinceArchie I read only one sentence and then stopped. You're here to argue, I'm here to suggest things to IronStylus. If you don't like it that's fine with me that's your own opinion but I'm suggesting something to see what IronStylus thinks not what the community thinks since the community has ALREADY spoke there minds in IronStylus's thread for Diana. Not only that Meddler has already mention that he can see why Diana can be an Assassin. What's the problem with having both Assassin and Fighter? These two things have floating around quite a lot. But thanks for coming by and expressing your opinion, I'm sure other people who believe in you will support you.

Ok Lets me post what meddler said firstly to give clarification. What he said about Diana was more convoluted and a little harder to decipher than his comments on Akali, but nonetheless I have a competent level of reading comprehension to see that he was indeed saying Diana needs to go in one direction not be BOTH and ASSASSIN and a FIGHTER. Also he plainly says she's better suited for Fighter not assassin.

My current thoughts/couple of general comments:

Akali - Lot of fun and a good alignment between her kit and theme, Lacks sufficient counterplay, resulting in frustrating playing against experience especially when she's ahead. Removal of the mitigation stats from her W's reduced her dueling power against tankier champs which is a positive, squishy targets still struggle with a lack of options sometimes however. The live balance team's currently experimenting with her ult range to see if reducing that's an appropriate lever to put her into a better spot (her having high reliability's less of an issue if it's more practical to stay out of her zone of threat or at least force her to use another ult charge before getting to you).

Diana - Would benefit from being more clearly an assassin or a fighter, rather than a generalized mixture of the two...

Both of them - Bit much overlap between the two, both utilizing a similar combat approach through their ults, Q's and cleaves. Ensuring the two of them end up with a few more points of distinction would do both some good (which personally suggests Diana should be pushed towards being more of a fighter,...).

In plain English, verbatim as you can see he feels that Diana's kit SUGGESTS she should be more of a fighter. Why you people don't think she is a fighter is because everyone is playing her as an assassin. High elo players who still play Diana are hardcore assassin players, trying to push her viability in the mid lane as an assassin. Sometimes they try to do jungle games, but honestly the only real successful high elo player I've witnessed playing Jungle Diana was Scarra.

He didnt have to play her jungle for me to see her potential as a jungling AP brusier, I was already doing that. But again these subservient minds think that everyone in higher elo hasa brain and don't make the same misconceptions that they do at lower elo. Even pros say it guys a lot of higher elo players aren't the sharpest needles. But this isnt about high elo players and being a normal human being using your own experiences as well as the experiences of others to formulate your own rational opinions.

You learn that at home, this is about clearly stating and showing Diana's strengths are more suited as a fighter. Im not trying to start a fight, nor am I arguing but you made loaded comments in your initial post so my tone is the way it is. Internet causes a lot of people to be rude sometimes we lose yourself I get that, im just being firm is all and what I am saying is that the popular belief that the current R(Lunar rush) and E(Moonfall) switching places is not a "Stupid" idea as you so eloquently put it in your initial post.

Uh Not sure why you think the notion of swapping her E and R is stupid. Actually wait I read why you thought it was stupid. You feel that Diana needs to be an Assassin. I for one beg to differ, her kit is not about blowing someone up in .5 seconds and getting out like most assassins can do. There is no assassin that comes to mind that doesnt have a means of escape or great mobility. Yes Her Lunar Rush is unique in that it's dual nature allows users to all in or save an extra R to escape. However that needs to be used on a nearby enemy champion or creep to work out that way. SO in other words you have an "assassin" type champion you can only all in and once that is done she's there to do autos if she can withstand being in the thick of things for more than 2 seconds.

Your view of Diana is skewed, Diana is not best played as an Assassin mid laner or an assassin at all, it's doable but requires a lot in not only skill, discernment, but also correct comps. She is much stronger as a fighter, her kit is more tilted to a fighter. There are so many suggestions about making her a fighter because her kit is geared to that. If you wanted to make her a great assassin then you'd have to reinvent the wheel. The current E she has is only bad because it's short range, and long cooldown with minimal effect. If it was made into a sort of Orianna ult, with Diana being that ball diana would be perfect with her current kit. Her combat is geared to chasing people down and staying up close and personal.

Thats not what many assassins do unless they are really ahead, dont let Zed big plays or insane Akali skirmishes give you some warped perception of an assassin. Want proper assassin play and role in full form look at Le blanc. You go in, burst up someone and back out. You dont stay in the middle of a team fight trying to be Akali, who can only do what she does because of her sustain not the range of her ult as some idiots would like to try and point out. News flash life steal(Bloodthirster) and spell vamp (Hextech gunblade) make adc's and Akali more tanky then they really are. But I digress. Diana is a fighter not an assassin, look to use Diana as an off tank fighter, utilize the awesome AP itemization the game has to make her tanky while building up her AP and you'll see outstanding results.

You'll be able to blow up a squishy, initiate a fight and stick around to clean up all in one. No you wont have the sustain but you'll be doing devastating AoE damage with your autos, W and even Q. How you see Diana more as an assassin and not a more than capable fighter is beyond me. Your idea at a new ult is also a stretch because again her current kit is not great for full fledged assassination. She can chase enemies down, get to the back line and be a really scary presence in a team fight with her AoE damage. You need to rethink the way you play Diana.
