Garen + Warmog + Spirit Visage = Regens approx. 15% of max health per 5 seconds out of combat

Garen's passive: 10% of max health per 5 seconds while out of combat level 16+.

Warmog's: 3% of max health per 5 seconds while out of combat.

Spirit Visage: Multiplies the above by 20% and adds 100% base health regen.

Total: Approximately 15.6% of maximum health every 5 seconds when Garen is out of combat, not including regeneration he gets from his base regen and other sources.

#Bottom Line: TOO POWERFUL.

Have you ever let a Garen escape with a sliver of health? 30 seconds later, he's back to full without having to recall.

You clearly have never seen a Garen with a Ghostblade before. Outrunning that as a ranged Champion? Yeah right. Only way you'll do that is with Flash, which he could counter.

Deny him to the point where he can't get that yomuu's, he gets yomuu's first, he is made of paper, he builds tank, his DPS is meph. It isn't that you can't be right, it is that he just isn't a good champion right now.

As a Garen player, putting Warmog's and Spirit Visage on only helps me but does not help my team. Even with Ghostblade, I still don't have the kit to escape the mobility common with the champions I regularly face. Garen is simply old school but still fun to cause havoc. All that regen cannot keep up with the high burst damage out there.

Wow, a champion with a large portion of their power budget dedicated to passive out-of-combat healing - after purchasing two purely defensive items that substantially boost healing - if allowed to safely heal out of combat, does so quickly?

It's actually 16.5% I think with Warmog's+Visage at level 18. He can recover fully from half health in 15 seconds when most champs couldn't even do that if you gave them 5 minutes to regen. It's not even close to OP tho.

Given how good it can make Garen at split-pushes, it can be pretty OP. He doesn't instakill a turret like a Yi, but you can't send only one person to deal with him because any damage dealt will be recovered in seconds.

And considering turrets basically lost all health regen, any blows he does land will add up over time.

Lol Yi isn't even a good example of a fast turret killer.

Nasus has almost as much sustain as Garen, can 1v3 and 3 shots turrets. Jax has no innate sustain, but can 1v3, 4 shot turrets, and has a great escape kit. Tryndamere has as much sustain as Garen, has a great escape kit, can 1v3, takes turrets super fast and can even go invincible to ignore everyone while taking it.

You pick Garen mainly for his ability to have an assasin style combo(silence, burst dmg+speed boost, then execute) while also being a tank.

I honestly think there are better items than Warmog's for Garen...He already regens 12% of his HP per 5 seconds (probably even more due to base regeneration) without it.

When he can build a single AD item (either Ghostblade, BC, or Infinity) and then pure tank, and still deal tons of damage to your rear line? Yeah, pretty strong.

Easy to outmaneuver or counterpick? Yes, but that doesn't mean his longevity doesn't make him obnoxious.
