Supports, peel or take one for the team.

I'm a supp main. So if your team lacks initiation. Dont be as dumb as the Talon jungle on your team. Keep your abilities off of cooldown, since enemy most likely will go after your carries next. So once they do, you can everything to be ready for it. You will slow, stun, displace, shield, heal, etc.

So that others may live.

Nothing more annoying, to me a supp main, than to see a supp that wont peel for the carries so none get shutdown.

And carries, it is okay to ditch the supp if you guys in a bad spot. Unless you see the tide of battle turn in your favor, then take initiative.

This way, the supps death isnt in vein.

Are there really people in soloqueue that don't ditch supports and treat us like actual human beings instead of their ward bitch?

Anyways it's usually the other way around. Some carry goes way too deep into the jungle, I ping, I type don't go in there, they keep going. I see 2 people coming to where he's dueling with someone, I ping again. I heal, I shield, it's too late because they overestimated their ability, get locked down and deleted. I flash or speed away because another death makes no sense, they lose their marbles in all chat talking about how I'm the worst support that ever lived because I didn't die with them.

I see this happen to countless other supports again and again. Please do not have the "go down with the ship" mentality. A support death still counts, so you should always focus on your safety first. It's kind of like how they tell you on airplanes. Please secure your oxygen mask before helping the person next to you, even if it's a child. Many of these carries are children.

If you can save your ADC by sacrificing yourself, and really this situation is so rare, obviously you should do that. Everyone should for their carry in soloqueue, but that situation is really rare.

For reference I'm by no means an AP support main or a poke support main. I play champions that emphasize trading and disengages.

The sad thing about ADCs, you can tell they main ADC cause their positioning is bad, cant ward well, tunnel vision. As a supp main, i have to babysit and make sure they are as safe as they can be.

Which is funny. I dont main ADC, but after supping so much. ADC now feels pretty easy. Now i just need to find a supp main instead of a mid main going "supp" XD to make it SUPER DOOPER EASY.

I play pretty much any type of supp. Mage, Tank, engage, disengage, and can use the engagers and disengagers. You get to know the champs quite well. And tend to play consistently.

supports are a bit like garbage men no one wants to be them when they grow up but if they're on strike everyone notice's it its all of the leg work none of the reward i love it i'm a support main because my cs isn't optimal and i don't have the killer mentallity

how many times i have had an adc who i spoon fed 6 kills then after match everyone is like gg lucian and they Always forget me and then people ask themselfs why i drink my sorrows away

or if you start roaming ping you're adc and they think lets go HAMMMMMMMMMMMMMM and blame it on you i take this abuse for one thing only the seldom ac that acknowlage's you

i know the feel man. I know it well.

More so this meta than ever before.

I use to get so many friend request, now ADCs are so entitled. The changes to meta have changed the behaviour.

Some supports peel, some support the engage. I mean, what do you expect Zyra to do? Brand ? Janna ? Zilean ?

See, it's not that simple. The more important thing is knowing what is expected of your champ and what you can do with it. For example, Morgana can both engage and peel - so you do whats necessary - but not many champs have that luxury.

And for carries who ditch the supp when they could help out... well, there's 4 people on the team to help, you might as well shift your priorities to another player who knows what playing as a team means.

it is.

Most peel. Or have something that can be used as peel. Trust me, even the engagers can make peeling work. That is what makes a person a supp main. Especially in low elo... where most of us are.

Team based tactics that help in the denying objectives while obtaining them is the most effective way to play the game... but we dont. So obviuosly it isnt so simple, but for the sake of just talking about supps, it is quite simple.

Depends on if the champ is a Tank, Utility, or Damage support. Then goes slightly deeper as champion kits. So that advice isn't 100% consistent for every support.

But it is quite useful. You keep someone live long enough and they can turn the tide of battle. You can deal enough dmg for others to cherry pick. Even non-peelers can peel to some extent. This is how you know you have become a supp main (and in low elo, little bit of peel goes a long way, since people rarely peel).

Yea peeing should always be done regardless of the supp. However taking one for the team really depends, sometimes a support might be better off surviving in order to aid another person and is really a case-by-case situation.

I like using Anivia support. I often "Eat" stuff, like Ashe arrows or Jhin ults in order to shield my teammates, knowing that I gots my egg in case of emergency.

I miss Anivia Supps.

Havent seen one in a very long time. Taking a hit, that would shutdown a carry, only to revive, i miss those days.

When possible if I'm support I pick her every time now. Just love her damage + stun + self-revive. It's too useful.

hell yeah it is useful. Can be a climb to scale adequately at times, but it is a very interesting and good champ for supp. Yes there are better, but non-the-less still good.
