An idea about improving Turret Plating

Maybe instead of having turrets gain resistances when losing plates, do the opposite.

Now that sounds dumb at first glance, but if turrets start at 150-200 Armor and MR they can be durable enough to prevent most champions from damaging them significantly early on without committing to it. Plus, the turret keeps its remaining resistances when Turret Plating falls. That way turrets which have been contested in a winning lane would be easier to push, whereas uncontested ones would be harder to destroy. Each plate would also grant way less Gold when destroyed, so that total First Turret Gold goes at least back down to its previous value.

Such a change would give satisfaction to good players in both defense and offense - it'll be either "Hey, I defended my turret well in laning phase, it's not gonna fall easily now" or "Hey, I pushed that turret hard in laning phase, it'll be an easy target for my team now!". This, and it simultaneously isn't going to make the games last longer than neccessary, especially if the resists still are removed 20-25 minutes in or so.

What do you guys think?

Not a fan of the lose resistances when low hp idea. If riot really wanted to make turrets tankier, they would.

I do want them to reduce turret plating gold though, its ridiculous.

Enemies get ~1k gold for destroying a turret before 14 min. And after 14 min the turret falls like tissue paper.

It's EXTREMELY frustrating, to be in a bad matchup, play safe, not die, be behind 10 cs. Before, the enemy would get first tower and get a 450g lead. Now, not only are you forced to play passive in a bad matchup, the enemy can potentially get ~1k gold from reking your tower early, and then min 14 go to another lane and shove their lead at the paper thin towers. This tends to happen a lot in ranged vs melee matchups. (with the ranged champion getting a gold lead from plating, and in the bot lane.

So yeah, I prefer if they fix plating gold first.
