@Meddler, instead of Morde buffs have you considered shifting some power around?

Now, we all know Mordekaiser is in this wonky spot where he's either Trash Metal or just extremely oppressive Power Metal. In my previous thread I showcased some of the design flaws Mordekaiser suffers from and explained why he's not in a spot to just get buffed.

So, what if instead of just adding power to him we'd simply shift around power and allocate it into parts of his kit that would make him more Enjoyable to play? Currently Mordekaiser suffers from either getting ahead and just snowballing the victory or just falling behind and being a liability to his team. For the Mordekaiser player this can be extremely frustrating as his success cases and failure have such a high discrepancy that he can feel rather awful to play as. Especially after the Rylais nerfs his glaring issues of sticking to people has become more pronounced seeing that the slow was halved and he's unable to outright force fights with the 40% slow, it made him quite a bit healthier at the cost of him having less success cases.

So, how about we'll make Mordekaiser less awful to play as in those 50% of the situations where Morde players can feel quite infuriated about not being able to stick?

Simple: How about we trim away extra power from his kit and relocate that power budget elsewhere? Some of the changes I'd like to see would be: -Removed/Lowered W speed boost -Needs to use his R cool down to get a dragon clone (half the base CD Though) -Removal of the XP passive

+Increased base MS (-75 Speed boost could mean about 10ish more base MS) +Increased base armor to make up for the loss of duo lane XP advantage?

Also, on the same topic, Mordekaiser currently has 76 DOCUMENTED bugs that can seriously hurt his performance. His W, arguably his most important skill, is riddled with bugs that can really screw him over at times. His Dragon and Clone AI's in particular are really unresponsive too and might need some adjustments as well.

Mind you, I'm not asking to give Mordekaiser Juggernaut base stats and outright buff him, I just want to FEEL good about playing him. Bugs, a lot of frustrating experiences after the Rylais nerfs, huge discrepancy between success and failure cases and more does really hurt the enjoyment I'd normally get from playing him and just fixing those few things until he finally get his well deserved VGU would mean the world to a lot of Mordekaiser players.

Tl;DR: Power shifts and Bug fixes, 'nuff said

Don't see why he can't have his old base armor health and move speed back tbh. Then just call it a day for a patch or two and reevaluate.

I mean, for a guy who is basically just a walking suit of armor, he is pretty damn squishy.

Hey MM,

So I've been slightly annoyed by the amount of Morde threads lately, until I've tried it him out myself once again. And I feel like one of the most important things could be to have slightly better base stats. In all the games I've played I had problems with getting kited etc., but my main problem was that I felt like I had no chance to fall back to something in unfavorable matchups. With most other champions I still have some kind of base stat (range, movement speed, life reg, max hp, armor) that allows me to hold back and just try to farm. When I played Morde it was like:"Okay, either I reach them, destroy them with my Q and leave them crying in the corner or I'll just...die, no matter what."

Come on Riot, at least give Morde some movement speed, base hp, lifereg or just armor. With most other champions I create my runes and even masteries to emphasize my strengths or a certain playstyle. With Morde all I do is trying to cover up all of his weaknesses and flaws regarding base stats, so I get at least some chance to survive the early.

The list of Bugs is up to 120+ now. Also riot MeMeMe I thought you would be fixing some of these. Where are you at. Or was that just More Lies

So, low key: You want Morde to feel better to play AS?

Malicious Metal4 votes

Pretty much, especially seeing that he got a lot less obnoxious to play against too with the Rylais nerfs.

Just remove that bloody passive XP gain from his W, reallocate the power. BAM! Already Mordekaiser is in a better spot and no longer has yet another piece of unhealthy bullshit in his kit.

Mordekaiser should have 340 base ms and 50 base armor

non negotiable

I bet the bug fixes alone would go a really, really long way to making him "feel" good to play. The changes Azir received during the brief period when he went from troll tier to being picked again in competitive earlier during the spring split were just bug fixes to his Q/E interaction.
