I just got this survey...

EDIT Even if you don't agree with me, at least throw in an upvote for the irony of Vel'Koz being the subject of poor marketing research. Lol... item 3070

I don't like the reworked Vel'Koz one bit. I didn't mind if he lacked the requisite "strategic diversity" and neither did any of the other Vel'Koz mains (at least not the ones who voiced an opinion around here). I think his ult feels lackluster, harder to use, and is less effective in a teamfight.

Then I get this.... http://i63.tinypic.com/2z6gems.png

I get asked about the "idea of who/what a champion is"? I read that question four times and all I got was a feeling that I don't really understand myself or this life. HIS CHARACTER THEME DIDN'T EVEN CHANGE. YOU DIDN'T UPDATE HIS CHARACTER THEME. You gave him a clunky, single-tank wrecking combo and pulled power from his aoe wombo to do it. And you're going to ask me about the theme.

What the hell do I even say? You didn't respec his lore, you didn't change his character, you moved some ratios around and put the true-damage band-aid on the kit. As far as I can tell it's the same character I loved with a worse kit.

Am I supposed to dishonestly shit on a champion whose character I like? Am I supposed to give you a pat on the back for doing something I dislike?

This is such a peculiar, subtle slap in the face after these changes. I can't even.

P.S. If I sound like I'm entitled or taking this out of proportion, it's because I've emotionally invested a lot into this game and how it changes matters to me. I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

this is EXACTLY the same as what rito asked after DQ came out

something like

"do you enjoy playing with your friends?"

well, no fucking shit people do, and they're like "see people like DQ."

They're just pretty much asking the masses, hoping enough of the retarded general public answers, who all likely had never played velk and then played him due to the update

Yeah I got the same question about Quinn after her rework (which I could easily and honestly answer no to) and some wacky question about Black Cleaver allowing me to "satisfy my gameplay fantasy." I'm a pretty smart guy so I dunno if I'm overthinking this shit a lot or if the language gets passed between so many marketing and pr guys that it's just garbled.

Damn, Lyte. Back at it again with the leading questions.

I don't think Lyte is ignorant enough to be subconsciously doing this or sinister enough to be willfully doing this. I think, at some point, a group at riot decided to paint the lines of what they were trying to accomplish in such a way that success was easier than failure. I'd guess Lyte is just measuring what he's asked to.

Trust me i got this same thing for Malzahar. As a, now denounced, malz main i feel like they replaced my favorite champion with a shitty knock off.

Even with him being brokenly strong in the jungle atm, they nearly completely failed the rework, not only from my opinion, but also from riot's own intentions! (i made a post about it comparing the malzahar direction thread with the results of the rework http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/Ag06yxmK-after-a-hand-full-of-games-on-malzahar)

I'm not a big Vel player, but i did play him as probably my 2nd favorite mage. That said i played him in exactly the way the rework redistributed his power. Constantly harassing with my abilities. That said i played a few games on him, and i don't even ult now unless it's the only option... It feels like spamming abilities is actually stronger than using his ult, even when you can get true damage off with it.
