Is this really the community we have? People downvote a dude asking for legit help and don't even bother giving a way to beat him?

My advice, don't let him get his blade between you and him. Try to bait his taunt and avoid it. And most of all, try to kite him after he uses his Q. His ult, just try to hit him while he's ulting to send somewhere with some damage on him, or if you have CC, stop him

I've tried started out with Corrupting potion as Hec against him. Worst mistake of my life.

That doesn't sound like a bad start. Where did it go wrong? And what start would you take instead?

Shen's rune page was full ad which meant he had way more damage than I expected. I should have gotten cloth and pots instead.

I haven't played him enough yet to really offer good recommendations but since he does percent health with his q stacking health won't help. Either outrunning him in trades, using abilities instead of auto attacks for his w and some resistances might help mitigate the percent proc
