As an Aatrox main, for this specific build, I'd swap out item 3031 for item 3812 , item 3074 for item 3748 , (EDIT: item 3046 for item 3124 ) and item 3047 for item 3006 . Makes you a tad more unkillable while still increasing your damage output. But it's all a matter of preference, of course.

True, in this case swapping item 3046 for item 3124 may be a good choice, although buying would still work pretty well in this case.

You're overdoing it on healing and defense. It isn't your job to simply not die as Aatrox, you also need to kill people. Hydra and your W will give you more than enough healing with how much damage you're doing and IE will give you the burst you need to kill squishies and the dps you need to kill tanks.

The extra health you get from item 3022 , item 3748 and item 3065 (and the passive from item 3812 ) provide a much needed buffer against being bursted down in teamfights (which your W and healing can't defend against), and also synergizes well with passive, giving you more damage from that. The only tradeoff I see here is a slight drop in burst (in which I never have needed item 3031 to burst down squishies), which is definitely compensated for by the increase in survivability and dueling power. Again, what you build is all up to preference, and how much you focus on healing and defense depends on your playstyle and the team comp (I generally put the "dive" in "diver", so...).

I challenge you to get a gunblade. and thunderlords q on top of them use your e then ult with the active of gunblade lvl 6. you can't rely on getting fed earn it.

Critting is nice but when you have a teemo, jayce or a heimer deleting them in 4 hits is more efficient. basically everyone a norm building aatrox would lose against is reversed. I have been wanting to set up a stream where I just play aatrox but haven't had the time to do so sadly. I have takin thunderlords to all lanes except jung and won all in a row. I may not be pro play but still FUN. Aatrox summoner 4 item 3146 summoner 14 [slayer-pantheon-popcorn] [zombie-brand-facepalm]

You can go to my match history look at ym aatrox games on 11/30/16 with this build and see how good it is and how much damage output you can do with aatrox

Actually it is not a full AP aatrox that makes him strong. A mix hybrid aatrox is by far the most OP aatrox you can have when u can combo a player with only having 1 item and using your q e r and depleting all their health as if you were a assassin. The true and only good aatrox in my opinion is thunderlords aatrox with gunblade, rageblade then you can norm build him after those 2 items. only people who don't understand a champion and know how to use that champ properly believes the a champ is bad.
