Just pointing it out again. Fizz still has significantly more late game damage potential than poppy, has superior defense in being able to dodge so frequently with playful trickster. All with the best mobility in the game. Hands down better late game... yet a far easier early game.
Yet no rumors of a specific plan to bring either one anywhere near the middle.

Riot's problem with Poppy is that when she gets to late game there is no skill you can draw on to do something about her. Fizz at least can have his ult dodged, he can be locked down after his trickster and bursted, etc. Between Poppy's passive and ult, you're -1 carry past a certain point in the game. The only solution is to be near a wall that she doesn't have vision on the other side and get over it, in which case she turns on your teammates.

... Don't look at darius. Or Riven. Or Vi. Or Fizz. Or Talon. Or Yasuo. Or Lee Sin. Or Jax. Or Akali. Or Kat ... or any number of people that can be at least as overpowered if they get fed... yet, all have significantly better early games. More sustainability and better mobility.
