Should Gathering Storm give you bonuses more frequently (i.e. every 5 minutes after first 10)?

I'm finding it harder and harder to justify taking Gathering Storm due to how much the meta favors quick and decisive wins over long, drawn-out games. As such, Scorch just ends up being better for lane pressure. Part of the issue, I feel, is that Gathering Storm only gives you extra bonuses every 10 minutes, which leaves long periods where your opponents can exploit the waiting period, and requires you to wait an agonizing period to get full benefits.

IMO, Gathering Storm would be much better if it were to update every 5 minutes instead of 10, but only starts giving you bonuses after the first 10 minutes. I'd have the same values at each 10 minute mark, so it wouldn't actually be any stronger at, say, 30/40/50/etc. minutes, but it would give you a "halfway bonus" every 5 minutes.

For example,

15 minutes = 16 AP or 9.5 AD 25 minutes = 36 AP or 21.5 AD etc.

Unless, of course, Riot intends for Gathering Storm to have such a long delay between improvements.

Yeah, this would be a nice one to have changed in the game. Especially since every 5 minutes the game can completely change tides.

I'm pretty sure that's kind of the intended trade off which riot wants to see. They also like the clear windows of power at each 10 minute mark, so opponents know to be wary around then and users can/should know they have a spike at those multiples.

Do you want to go all in for the early laning phase advantage and try to snowball it, or do you want to try to survive early and then have the significant stat advantage later on at the cost of the weaker early/mid game?

I'm fairly sure gathering storm is pretty standard and almost game deciding in pro play as is, so buffing it might make it even more of a no brainer there, and if the curve gets too smooth then that might be true in solo queue as well.
