It make me think that since Death Fire Touch removal, nothing been given as compensation for DoT oriented champions... A new Sorcery runes made for DoT should be implemented . Anyone feel the same ?
Dark harvest, your dot will proc it
Non dot champions have to get an enemy low and then damage them again to proc dark harvest
Dot champions can get them low and then their dot will collect the DH for them
Also cheap shot is proc'd by dot if they're slowed by 
or any cc
And scorch ofc
all have some sort of DoT and AoE spell like Anivia ult etc work well with DoT runes. Honestly, current rune that can be used doesn't feel satisfying to use (Comet, Aery,DH,Phase Rush).
Well they also systemically have been removing all forms of DoT from the game. I would imagine that has something to do with it.
Viktors laser used to have a DoT on it and they removed it for the after shock effect. Cassiopeia used to do more poison DoT damage and they changed her into a Twin Fang machine gun. Swain was a DoT champion and they changed him into a catch and burst at melee range champion.
At the moment who is left? Malzahar might be one of the only ones still around.
I miss the DoT's, it's one of my favorite play styles, but it hasn't been well supported.
Aery works pretty well. Depending on the timing, it'll proc twice because of poison.
So Darius who bleeds you for around 15% of your HP with 5 stacks can now do even more Cassio who's one of the most oppressive champions if played correctly has DoT up every 3 seconds Teemo.
Because they need a DOT rune when this fucking thing exists?

Past runes like Deathfire Touch, made for DoT style champs proved to be way too powerful is why. They stay away from making more of those for that reason. Aery works well if you want consistent damage, as does Dark Harvest.
