When is Kassadin gonna get to Shine again?

I have an ability (E) that can only be used occasionally. I cant really get in and out without being cc'd and deleted until late game when I have 40% CDR and 3 points in my ult. I am completely reliant on surprise attacks and it only works if its a 1v1 sqishy. My Q's actual interrupt is so limited in use that its pretty much ONLY a small shield for initial burst. Sure I am a late game god but with how lethality works so is every champion who builds it in the late game and they probably have better survivability andwith how little games actually go late, Kassadin is completely out of place.

Sure Kassadin has really high mobility but any competent players can CC me and I am screwed.
