Honestly this works for me more often than not.

People are generally much more willing to adjust if you are polite. It won't work every time, but i probably get a swap (1st or 2nd one I ask for) 60% of the times I try.

And no, I am not in high ELO where people are willing to adjust to win / are better at more roles. I am Silver 5, and match with at least a few bronze players every game.

People are people no matter how low their ELO.

It gets harder to swap in higher elos a lot of the time, because a large majority of them are one-tricks.

Plat is probably the most selfish rank. Either that or gold.

Diamond has a lot of the aforementioned onetricks.

Challenger is challenger, idk how that is, not enough samples.

If someone says, "Hey, I main mid lane and would prefer to go there if possible," I'll give it to them. If someone comes into champ select and says, "I'm mid fucker, go kys," you can be sure I'm going to dodge before I give you mid.

That's how I'd respond, if they are impolite.

Hence why I never start with insults when I want to swap roles or trade champions.

Yeah, most of the time I'm forced to dodge, knowing that they'll probably just do the same thing if they don't get their position in the next champ select which sucks.

My nasus mid win rate is deplorable, but my darius mid win rate is hilariously high. Ghost flash CoC darius is scary. Still tho, so many games dropped on nasus mid that I got deranked xD

holy shit yesterday my friend wanted to play lux, we had to wait an hour and a half in queue because people kept dodging everytime we picked it... and we ended up in a stompy game where the enemy surrendered at 20 minutes right after he turned to ice form and laughed... that laugh explains the entire situation so damn well
