Before i continue: Know im in the same boat as you, but im learning what im doing wrong myself by VOD and critiquing myself much like i would on a pro player whilest their playing on twitch.. (if its TL;DR, i reiterate this point in the last sentence)

im there right now in solo q, learning, progressing, getting better, slowly but it is a game of mind tricks and i'm waiting on getting my flex q rank to silver before i start going through solo q again...

adc/midlane are strong roles, but the main problem with teams in LOW ELO (main, not always) - is theres no tank (OR) no person that knows how to tank properly (hens the tank-rework, and people are constantly going about turning tanks into massive burst damage champions - see ap maokai) my favorite example of this, (is actually my own experience in low elo) - nobody wants/wanted to tank, including me - check the udyr in this game though, most kills, most damage absorbed, and i was the tank for the game; but there are also things i can learn, even from games i win... http://imgur.com/a/0zFkw - http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2504765120/33187390?tab=overview

Just by going over the details of this game, i notice quite a few things i can improve on; ward purchases, wards placed, cs count; more questions im asking myself (and in the same order as im writing this), as the tank did i take to many kills, should i have given some to other players that were nearby to help snowball them instead? was starting red the right choice while knowing the enemy jungler started blue? did i make the right call to rush my blue and then check his red? how often was i looking at the minimap? (not very often i might add) did i alert teammates properly of incoming ganks i could see that they potentially couldnt?

LAST POINT before i got into the last statement: http://www.leagueoflegendsmath.com/itemop.html can be your best friend or your worst enemy if you follow it :D

the BEST way to improve your gameplay is to look at yourself, and judge yourself the same way you'd judge someone elses gameplay even when you dont want to be the bad guy... (but sometimes you can tell yourself what you need to improve on, just by looking at the scoreboard from top to bottom)

Edit: Removed the assumption of what roles you are, was my arrogance, and much appology in that regard...
