I need counterpicks to fighting akali mid please.

Fighting her gives me a headache 90% of the time. Either I stomp her and she roams excessively (doesnt get fed but causes issues in other lanes/gets fed becomes my problem), or she stomps me, or she builds tanky and stops caring about my damage. I usually pick yasuo into her because snowballing the lane early usually works out for me (i know she counters him but currently he's my best bet and my best mid champion overall.) I've tried Malz vs her in the past but i must admit I'm not exctly a fan of that matchup due to my lack of experience with him and missing a q can lead to death/harsh punishment from what i learned. Anyways I'd really appreciate the advice, she isnt exactly my favorite chmpion to fight or even see in the jungle.

If you want something more conventional, Diana. You just press W, land your Q and she is magically at 20% health.

Passive and basic attacks can be used to consistently harass her.
Q can be used to waveclear and poke.
W can be used to render her powerless when she jumps in for a couple seconds or to run away
E can either protect your allies from burst damage or damage her. If you damage her, it will let you see her while she is stealthed.
Ultimate can be used to prevent her from assassinating an ally.

Some other pretty brutal match-ups are: Diana Anivia Kayle Fizz Mordekaiser Swain

You could also take some fighters or another assassin into the mid-lane against her. Irelia and Renekton work quite well, but there are other options.

It's a skill-based matchup. Whichever gets a lead can stomp the other.

That's a good comment and yes - those guys are good to beat akali even when she gets fed by roaming, but to be honest: The best way to counter Akali is good warding and exessive Pinging.

Akali should never get fed by her selfe, she is just to weak early on. The only way a Akali get fed is by ganking. Either as roamer or the recieving end. Doing so usually leaves a salty Akali in Midgame. ^^ (But always treat her like a Kata, her comebacks are real. =P)

The best way to counter Akali is good warding and exessive Pinging.

Honestly, I didn't even think of suggesting that. I've been doing that habitually for years at this point; it's pretty much an automatic reaction at this point.

I just take it as a given that everyone should be doing without having to be told.

Same here. But i usually played Support so pinging and warding is basically second nature.

Good champion to fight her are always the following

1-People who can play it safe and far away so it's near impossible for her to assassinate for you have a range advantage

2-People who are so tanky that their is no hope for her to kill

3-People who do her job better than her (assassinating)

AP Alistar. She goes to rush you, pop her into the air, launch her at your turret. She goes into her smoke bomb, waddle in and pulverize the ground. She's starting to hurt? Pop your ulti, and give her the horns. It's really that easy.

Or AP Malphite. Constantly fling poo at her, to poke her out, then when she's low, or goes into her fart cloud, tackle her with your ult. :)

AD Assasin Lee...Literally dumpsters her..give it a shot his E, Q, and R as a disengage or engage and execute makes her life hard.

Plus he easily has more Sustain on first item start.

So you bully her ANYTIME you Hit q, E when she shrouds...all in level 3 with ignite she WILL die.

Do i need to be a good lee player for this one? I'm pretty bad at insecting and I only have like 6 games with him.

Not really required to (Insec)...Kick then flash behind when close to tower and stuff.

Honestly Lee is my Main and I picked him up because I was told. Get good at Lee get good at league. mechanically he is intensive and decisions are REAL on him. however when played right he will NEVER fall out of Meta and always be a good all around pick in many roles.

So my suggestion play some Lee, Jg and anytime you need to counter something like Akali and you will be half decent on him in no time.

Early game, use soldiers to stop her farm. Once lvl 3, he can work on getting the kill with his Q while being safe thanks to his E. And his ult can mess up her positioning.

Morgana shits on Akali. Puddle in the shroud, or just ult. You don't have to be able to see Akali to ult her, it let's you ult when she's in there, and reveals her while she is tethered. Bully the hell out of her pre 6, and then post 6 kill her every time your ult is up. Landing your Q is trivial when Akali is stunned, or dashes at you.

If she doesn't get bailed out by her team, you can make her so useless even the support can duel her.
