Their goal isn't to keep the game the same as it was. That's the point of changes. Sometimes the changes won't be in your favor, and sometimes they will.
Preseasons are always times for live testing, and on top of that this "problem" is completely out of your control. I wouldn't be mad if I were you, if only because there's nothing you can do about it and being mad sucks.
