Silver V is the worst, most toxic place I've ever experienced in any game.

  • Everyone picks the same 15 champions to try to cheese victories. I can no longer play Cassiopeia because it would take me hundreds upon thousands of games to learn how to counter every single assassin that comes mid, bot, top, jungle (it's ALWAYS an assassin mid lane, and usually 2 or 3 assassins total). Now I have to resort to cheese myself because I find myself unable to play against these enemy team comps. Maybe I just have to "get gud" but assassins are so unforgiving at low ELO because nobody really knows how to play against them well and if you make a mistake 1 out of 100 times, boom you're dead and you might have lost tower or inhib or the game. Will take champ suggestions for mid ;)

  • People will flame you over literally every single thing, from a missed kill to a missed CS. I had a 20% health graves jg run straight into mid lane, right into a katarina, then flame me for not helping him (when he was dead before I could even walk over to him). People flame me for being 1/3 (which isn't that bad of a score). People will act like they're being helpful and say "oh let's do this together, teamwork right?" and they'll help when you're behind, until they die, and they'll blame you for feeding when they were just helping 2 seconds ago. I've had junglers refuse to gank the entire game, even letting me die in fights, because I didn't leash them (as a mid laner) or let them die to a 1v4 invade that was a horrible idea to begin with. I've had people flame me for roaming opponents when I pinged 5 times; I tell them "read the chat I pinged" and they say "reported for toxicity." People report for everything. If you went 1/3 against a fed mid laner, you're getting reported for inting. Say "heck?" Toxic language. I'm pretty scared to talk in chat because anything I say may be reported, even if it's necessary to say.

  • Nobody knows how to itemize. Against a healspam team? Watch nobody build an executioner's calling for 30 minutes of the game, even the 14/0 (insert AD champion here). Watch people build the same exact order of items every game without changing it to fit their matchup. Against a full AD team? Nobody even builds an armor item. AD bruisers always build full AD and no tank. Garens build 1 tank item and full AD then call themselves a tank.

Look I'm not saying I deserve out of s5, but the amount of games that feel won/lost by champ select, and the amount of toxicity (in my first 6-7 games of Silver) is 10 times worse than anything I experienced in the 400+ games of bronze.

Unless you have like diamond macro and game knowledge you cant win games with every champ you want. You have to pick the broken ones or otp one champ. When you get diamond you can stay in Diamond V forever and try new stuff. Until then try to practice mechanics and abusing the meta.

Yeah I hear ya, S5 is pretty bad.

I play mid, generally I win lane or at least stay pretty close to even. This is not an easy feat but really you just need to try every champ in the practice tool or in a bots game so you know what they can do, then you will know how to avoid what they do. Once you know the match ups it doesn't really matter who the enemy picks most of the time.

I have a couple of picks like Swain, Ekko, Gallio, Quinn, Lux, Talon, that I can play into any match-up if I have first pick, otherwise I try to counter pick if I am last pick.

I think in theory I could make it to gold at least, my problem is that I don't even get to play that many ranked games a week so it is impossible to climb out of because every other game the 2 other lanes are 0-5 at 8 minutes. I think it is just volume of games that would get you out, you just have to play a ton and hit a win streak (of course always trying to improve your game) to get out of it. Not having time to spam games make it really hard.
