So it clearly works on all abilities except for items, summoner spells and modified AA's right? And by modified AA's I mean stuff like Jax W, Teemo's toxic shot, any of Camille's empowered AA's.. Hm? Just gotta settle this limbo in my head once and for all

Damage amplification applies to all active abilities. Including the bonus damage from activated autoattack enhanced abilities and abilities that apply on-hit effects.
On-hit effects will not have their damage amplified unless applied through an active ability such as Gangplank's Parrrley. This means that effects like Sheen will only have amplified damage when applied by an autoattack enhancer or an ability that applies on-hit effects.
So Jax W will get bonus damage, i dont believe teemos E will get bonus damage since its a passive-on-hit. and yes, camilles empowered AAs will since you activate an ability for them.
Illaoi's W would get the bonus damage, darius W would too. Vi's W would not.

So if you can AA inbetween abilities (in regards to Illaoi, darius and Vi), then take fury. but if you want your abilities to hit a bit harder on those same champions, take sorcery.
personally i use fury more for laning and farming even though sorcery would scale much better for the champs i play.
