Have the "traditional" hypercarry tops been pushed weaker than other tops?

Nasus, Poppy, and Jax aren't worth using. Their late game power does not justify their crappy early against fiora, darius, or garen. Late game the 3 new comers OP are just too good even at late game.

I don't think people understand exactly how big Darius's nerf was lmao

I think the problem is, Top lane tends to get the most Farm and Most XP out of any other position, thanks to the fact that it's pretty much an Island.

So if the Top laner Hypercarries, Literally no one can stop them. (where in contrast, the APC or ADC can usually be stopped by a strong Bruiser.)

Top lane Hypercarries tend to dictate the game. So Riot stopped supporting them.

lmao if you really think top lane carries dictate the game, then you must absolutely hate ranged adc. the entire first half of the game is focused around bot lane, they have a babysitter dedicated to them and they absolutely decide the lategame.

a good top laner who snowballs can carry hard enough around midgame to be able to end the game early, but overall its still centered on adc.

but you could say the same about midlaners who get their powerspike around midgame and maybe be able to carry just as well as a top laner and who get just as much farm and xp.

to prove my point.

his winrate spikes around 30 to 35 minutes and then rapidly drops off as the game drags out.

meanwhile the powercourve of adc reaches its maximum lategame.

compared side by side, these statistics show that a strong top laner can carry a game to victory into midgame. but adc dictate lategame.

Garen's good in the late game.

lol.

It really is a shame that it's no longer the League of stat-checking though I guess.

Ask GIA Werlyb about Jax

i find jax and garens lategame power compared quite appropriate.

lets look at what lategame jax has over lategame garen. a short cooldown gap closer/espcape, an aoe stun and pretty good duelling potenial with a 3 second cooldown auto attack reset.

in a straight up damage race, when jax is just sitting in melee range auto attacking him, garen should be a lot more powerful and win simply because jax has so much more outplay potential with his mobility to work with. he can more easily escape a fight he doesnt want and chase someone down when he has the advantage. so if we just compare damage and tankyness of the 2 champs, it would be pretty shitty if jax was just even with garen.

as far as nasus goes, im not sure whos actually stronger. depends a lot on item builds and how many stacks nasus gets. imo nasus is supposed to hard counter auto attack based champions. and garen has a slow cleanse to get rid of wither or isnt affected by it due to his spin. he should simply win because he has a kit than can deal with nasus but imo its not guaranteed. itemization is a big factor in that fight.

But Jax will always beat Garen lategame, even in melee range. Unless he has the villain passive on him.

Isn't Fiora a hypercarry?
