FF'ing is a waste of time unless you're being STOMPED

Unless it is >5-40 you shouldn't be surrendering. It's a waste of time. If you're going to have a mental break down in the corner because it's a close game, stop playing League. The game is supposed to be close.

If I'm on a team with people who can't stop flaming or raging at each other, I don't care what the score is, I want the game to end.

No more a waste of time than playing the game itself.

There's always the uninstall option.

Then I would have to find another way to waste my time.

I agree here. Back in the day, the game snowballed much harder and ff'ing made sense unless you had an auto attacker that could possibly facetank turrets and backdoor. Todays game however forgives more for getting stomped early, so ff'ing is not a good idea. Not to mention backdooring without minions is not possible anymore. R.I.P all the Master Yi "get dunked" threads.

it really depends on what elo you are at and how the game is going. sometimes its clear you are outmatched across the board and they know how to close out the game. no point in dragging it out to 35 mins if you know its over.

In mid plat where I'm at if its 2 to 10 the game is basically over a lot of the time. we basically group up at that point, go for a pick and if it fails we FF at 20. and thats ok. shit happens man. you have to hope your opponents throw.

in lower elo, I'd argue that you should play it out until an inhib goes down. if an inhib goes down and you are WAY behind just surrender cuz that means they get a free baron and will then just close out on you. unless you have a 1 v 5 champ on your team you aren't comin back.

If you can drag the game on 35 more minutes, then you had the opportunity to win but didn't take it.

Plat is the EASIEST elo. I was perm stuck in Bronze, I was perm stuck in Gold, I've been perm stuck in Silver, but plat I breezed through because that entire elo is team-based. 2-10 is not even close to being over. I just lost a couple games ago where the score was 16-2 and we lost because of a throw by my shitty ADC. The game is NEVER over. Surrendering gains you NOTHING. Roll the dice. The worst can happen is you lose LP anyways. It's the same thing as asking parents for something. The worst they can do is say no.
