I just read through the FAQ on Hextech and I am still lost. I am feeling ignorant, but I would like to know.
So how to I get the shards needed to trade for Hextech Annie or the Upcoming SoulStealer Vayne?
I got two at the beginning, but haven't received anymore. Am I doing something wrong? What am I missing?
Flaherty1 votesYou either get gems, you need 10 to unlock the skin, or an extremely rare skin shard specifically for the skin. Gems drop from crates as well and are also rare, but less rare than the actual skin shard.
Arkhan1 votesI got you, but I have yet to receive another shard. I saw someone on a live client with a Hextech Annie skin. Yet, I haven't received a single other shard? I play religiously.
Flaherty1 votesYou keep saying shard and I think one of us is confused. You get crates from getting s rankings in games, those crates drop either skin shards, champion shards, or purple gems. The purple gems can be disenchanted and turned into a chest and key to try and get another skin shard or champion shard, or you save up 10 of the purple gems to turn them into the Hextech Annie skin. A skin shard for Hextech annie can drop from the crates but is extremely rare. To get the chests you need at least s- ranking with a champion and only if you have chest drops available, how many you have available is seen on your profile screen next to the first win of the day timer. You can also only get one chest per champion each season so if you use the same champion you're not going to get more than one chest from them.

If you do, then you aren't doing anything wrong. They just have a very low drop rate.
