If the team asks you not to go a certain champ.

Don't fucking do it please. It means you offer nothing to the team as that current pick. I.E going singed jungle. Yes I'm salty, yes I'm angry, and yes I will report you if you do not work with the team to achieve a win.

sorry should have clarified, this is ranked I'm speaking of.

You have absolutely no right to choose the champion for someone else, and your reports will mean nothing. If you report for things like this often, you may have already lost all weight in them.

Not an individual but the entire team, When 4 other people ask nicely and I mean honest to god nicely as in "Singed is not a good jungler could you pick someone else?" and they don't I would consider it working against the team as a whole. Especially in ranked when you need the whole team to meld together as one unit and you have that one outlier that will drag the team down because they chose a champion that does not do well in a certain roll. IMO that's honest to god griefing your team.

riot has commented on this before. Your report would be legitimate.

what if that specific player is a singed one trick pony? he'd be far more useful on singed then any other champ.

Except when I have a first time graves jungle on my team

actually riot has said in the past, that if a player is going super off meta (example adc taric) and you ask them to change politely; you could report them (and would be a legit report). It would be refusing to communicate and or trolling.

Some thing you can look at and know that they are not going to work.

Lets be honest here, a jungle singed is a half a step above a jungle sona or nami. Someone was obviously trolling

They also said they won't rigorously enforce it so basically it mean, you can report and so but don't expect bans or anything

one report is not going to get the player banned, true. But that still does not mean it is not a legit report and your report weight is diminished for it. Riot almost never rigorously enforces anything, let be honest here.

It will take many reports for the player to even get warned, but you only build a case one report at a time. Plus the ai tribunal only can learn through reports. If enough people report a certain behavior the system supposed to learn that it is not acceptable.

I am all for the system learning that troll pick are not cool.

Actually the name calling and swearing had been enforced quite "harshly" so a lot of bans had happened. But troll wise bans are going to be scarce because is really hard to differentiate what is really a troll and what is simply different playstyle going wrong.

If you're talking Ranked, then sure, ask people to pick something that's going to work or that they know they can do well. But in normals, taking the game overly serious will always make you angry.

i hate this attitude, play bots if you are not going to play to win.

In ranked people should take things a bit more seriously than a legit troll pick and especially after the WHOLE team asks them to please change and they don't.

JustMyBassCannon1 votes

I didn't know that "don't take it seriously" and "people won't play to win" translated to the same meaning--OH WAIT, THEY DON'T.

It's called "casual competitive" for a reason, you uptight nark.

If you're good enough you can make some really odd picks work, it really depends on individual skill, i got raged for playing vel'koz support before it got popular, so no, community really got no idea most of time especially at low elo.

But there are also players who think they know how to play a unique setup, or haven't taken into account how the other team will play in Ranked to counter the setup.

I've got nothing against having fun or doing something different that works, but there's just as much fault in the player who thinks they know what they're doing as there is in the team that gets upset because they don't think it'll work.
