Either Rek'Sai's New Ult is Garbage or Lee Sin's Q is Godlike

Here is a realistic breakdown of the difference between the two. Considering how snowbally games are nowadays, I compared a reasonable scenario of these two junglers going in on a squishy target at half health that they tagged when all champs were at lvl 9.

LeeSin Five points in Lee’s Q (Range 1100) (CD 7s) 50/80/110/140/**170 **(+90% bonus AD) 50/80/110/140/170 (+90% bonus AD) (+8% target’s missing health) 170 dmg + 54 dmg + 170 dmg + 54 dmg + 44 dmg = _492 total dmg_

RekSai One point in Rek’Sai R (Range 1500) (CD 100s) 100/250/400 (+140% Bonus AD) (+ 20/25/30% of their missing health) 100 dmg + 84 dmg + 110 dmg = 294 total dmg

Rek’Sai’s ult does 60% of the damage that Lee’s Q does mid game while being on a 1400% longer cooldown!!!

If Riot thinks this is a reasonable ultimate ability, that just shows you how strong Lee Sin's Q really is.

Now let's say that Rek'Sai tagged the squishy target with her Q, Prey Seeker:

RekSai Five points in Rek'Sai's Q 60/90/120/150/**180 **(+70% AP) (+40% bonus AD) One point in Rek’Sai R (Range 1500) (CD 100s) 100/250/400 (+140% Bonus AD) (+ 20/25/30% of their missing health) 180 dmg + 24 dmg + 100 dmg + 84 dmg + 110 dmg = 498 total dmg

This means that Lee Sin's Q does 99% of the damage that Rek'Sai's Q and R do!!! WTF!!!!

Jesus this is some biased Bullshit.

Rek'Sai's Ult is supposed to mainly be a gap closer early (or finisher), else she could pull off too much Damage.

Just start comparing the whole kits.

you'll notice that Rek'Sai also has a E that can deal huge amounts of true damage and other strengths that Lee doesn't have.

You're comparing a rank 1 ult to a rank 5 Q. By that logic, Lee's ult does less damage than his Q.

Also, you basically ignored that Rek's execute damage is 2-4 times as much as Lee's.

Your also forgetting reksais is a point and click execute witha farther range where as lees is a skill shit. Reksais will be stronger late game. Raksai has better vision and mobility and with a the buffs to tunnels will be significantly higher.

There are other factors as well, how do these numbers stack up when theyre both at full build? How low would a target have to be in order for Reksai's ult to outdamage Lee sin's Q at level 9 with no items? What is the actual purpose function of each ability, what does it allow them to do once they reach their target, and most importantly,

What do the numbers look like when Rek'Sai has Six Deathcaps?

Hi guys, let me compare a new born lion with a full grown monkey. I assume then monkey > lion... the only garbage thing here is your brain

You're comparing a Rank 5 ability to a rank 1 ult. That comparison is hardly fair considering Rek'sai's ult will outscale Lee Sin's Q at later ranks. However, there are other factors to consider. Lee Sin's Q is a "skillshot", so it is much less consistent than Rek'sai's new ult will be. You're also forgetting follow up damage. How much damage can Rek'sai do AFTER getting on to the target?

I see a lot of bad math and obvious bias lol. What are their items? What are their runes? What are their keystones? Additionally if you dip the targets life down to 30% Reksai's damage spikes way up over Lee's. This is especially the case at level 11 where the missing life % + base damage goes way up. This blows even further up if you take fervor on Reksai.

I'll go with the latter.

At this point, if we also take Ivern into account, Riot just turns all junglers to Lee Sin clones.

The problem with that is that the prototype will always be superior in every way, just as planned by the looks of it.

You are not at all considering Rek'Sai's intended play pattern.

She is not meant to engage. As a Diver, a Fighter variant, she will need a Tank to follow up on.

  1. When she wants to close the gap, while she can use Prey Seeker into Void Rush, it's much better to use Tunnel to burrow into the fight while underground. Knock up your intended target, AA them with Queen's Wrath, get off True Damage with Furious Bite, and then use the same tunnel you got into the fight with to get out.

  2. Burrow after tunneling out to spend Fury and heal. You have 5 seconds, which is plenty of time.

  3. Ult back in to finish the target off. If you lingered for more than 5 seconds, use Prey Seeker to tag the target and ult to execute/gapclose.

Considering that one of the only champions that can do more damage with a rank 1 ult compared to LeeSin rank 5 Q is Syndra your test is using a bad comparison.

Lucian Waifu5/17/2017, 6:51:40 PM1 votes

No, but nice try. I am saying his rank 5 Q does a lot of damage because most rank 5 skills do a lot of damage. In fact most abilities that have numbers and ratios will be quite high at rank 5, that is why you max one ability at a time. Ziggs Q can do over 300 damage with DFT and a doran's ring at rank 5, and doesn't take much ap to get it equal to lee sin's Q, which takes two casts to reach that damage. That doesn't mean it is overpowered, just that as a main ability at max rank it will do high amounts of damage...
